aztec camera's jump

did you ever heard this version of jump?
it's almost acoustic, and i think it's great... i found it on napster (they never released it, it was a b-side)

I don't mind it, but I prefer the one on the Everybody Wants Some tribute with the female vocalist.

I've heard both, and I too prefer the "Everybody..." version. However, I'd certainly take the original anyday.

aztec camera's "jump" was on a 5song ep released back in i think 1987.
i have it on cassette.

they made the song sound like the lyrics suggest:

about someone about to commit suicide.

actually it's not bad.
i unlike a lot of other people like it when
bands take a song and do a 180 with it.

the one tribute record "everybody wants some"
is a good example. most people here hated that.
but i thought it was cool hearing VH done in completely different styles.
i mean who wants to hear the guy from ratt do a VH song basically the saem as VH?
if i wanna hear that i'll listen to VH.

The Everybody Wants Some tribute makes you realize how great those songs are, because they can be played in different styles.

The Van Halen 2000 tribute makes you realize how great Van Halen is, because without them, those great songs lose their soul.

..yes you're right it's a kind of "pessimistic" version, but i like it (at least it's a good effort, don't ya think?)
