I Love This Damn Song!

You know, this may not even belong in this forum, but what the hell? I just had to tell my fellow VH fanatics that I Love "The Dream Is Over." I've been keeping company with Mr. Jim Beam all evening, downloading some stuff from Napster, and this is one song I just downloaded. I haven't heard this song in years, but I still love it. I am a Roth Fan, but I believe in giving credit where credit is due. This song fucking rocks! What does all of this mean? Probably nothing, but I just wanted to say that Sammy did do a good job with VH, but I am definitely looking forward to hearing the Diamond One again! By the way Brett, I love this damn place!

The Dream Is Over is probably one of the most under-rated songs that Van Halen has ever done. I never seem to think of it when I think of my favorite VH songs, but it's definitely a gem.

The first time I heard that song and the chorus kicked in I got goosebumps. That chorus was stuck in my head for days. VH is hard-rock, and they should alawys do what they want to do. BUT, if that song was softened up and the chorus was played more often, that song would have been an absolute smash is it was released as a single.

Don't get me wrong, the song is great, should never be changed.

This is an underrated song.

I'll never know why more epople don't dig it. What a great opening, then "Duh- Duh!"

The lyrics, singing, chorus, playing... it's one of Sammy's best songs and also one of VH's.

This is probably my second favorite song off of For UCK right after Top of the World. Hell, I didn't even really notice it until I got the CD and it came out of nowhere

This is arguably the most underrated song in the entire Van Halen collection...

It's up there with "Dirty Movies" for me, in terms of "lesser known" but KICK ASS songs!

I have to agree "The Dream Is Over" kicks serious ass. I love the guitar work in the song and Sammy's vocals are killer. Great track off a great album. Can't get enough of F.U.C.K.
