DLR Solo, Sammy Solo

Now, I had heard plenty of Sammy Hagar's solo. I was pretty much a Sammy fan, I loved his solo stuff. C'mawn, "I Can't Drive 55", "One Way to Rock(one of my fave songs ever)", even "Eagles Fly" is one of my faves. Sammy's solo stuff. The only solo song by DLR that had caught my eye was Shyboy--an excellent piece of work. Slam Dunk was good too.

Now, finally yesterday, I got around to getting Yankee Rose...

Suffice to say, I now have all of Eat 'Em and Smile on my computer. Yankee Rose is a fucking AMAZING song. I didn't like Tobacco Road on first listen, now I love it! Yankee Rose and Shyboy are my faves.

But here's my question:

From Sammy and DLR, what are your two favorite solo songs?

Sammy: One Way To Rock, Mas Tequila
(Mas Tequila was inspired by the hockey song--you know, the dun-nuh-nuh-nuhhhhh-nuh-HEY! one), and One Way to Rock is awesome--especially off Live: RH, RN.

DLR: Shyboy, Yankee Rose
Roth, Sheehan, and Vai at their best. These two songs are masterpieces of work.

5150 Mean St, I strongly recommend to you to go and buy their records... Two good reasons for that, you'll be doing a great favor to the artists, and you'll discover amaziing music... David Lee's "Best Of" is a great introductory piece.

I think Shyboy is the only song good enough to follow Yankee Rose.

I actually prefer Shyboy to Y.R. They use to kick off the EEAS tour to Shyboy. Its an absolutely amazing tune - very under-rated, even by Roth fans. I think its by far the 'definitive version'. I know Talas originally did it live - but I'm sure EEAS was when it was first ever recorded which is why DLR got an 'arrangement' credit (much like Phil Lynott got an arrangement credit for re-doing live favourite 'Whiskey in the Jar').

One Mutha of a song, 5150 Mean St. you're dead right - its the EEAS Band at their devastating best, and he should have used it as first track on 'The Best'.
