Don't get me wrong, I love Jump but I like Right Now more.
It just does something you know
Maybe it's subliminal messages in the video<b>Obey the DFK!!</b><br /><br />"Teacher needs to see me after school"

I've always liked Jump a lot but Right Now is my favorite of the two.

Achievements:
I prefer Right Now by a landslide over Jump. Jump had a good solo, and is a good song, but I've never been a sucker for synthesizer in rock music. I really liked the piano in Right Now, the solo was awesome, and Mike did a damn good job of holding down the rhythm.
To be perfectly honest, I skip Jump a lot these days. It's the only Van Halen song people play in public, and for many it's the only Van Halen song they've known. I just think it's been far overplayed.

Both are awesome tracks, but if I had to pick, I would choose Right Now. Ed's solo just flat out fuckin' rocks
Always one more,
You're never satisfied.
Never one for all with you,
It's only one for me

Jump by far for me. I never really liked Right Now.
"One of the reasons I left Sabbath was because Van Halen was blowing us off the stage every night. It was embarrassing." -Ozzy Osbourne
"When I first heard "Runnin' With The Devil" on the radio, I was stunned and found myself dizzy, walking through my high school hallways thinking, "What was THAT?!"
Eddie Van Halen was so innovative and kicked so much ass, and David Lee Roth was for a time indisputably the Greatest Man in America.
If aliens came down and challenged us to a Battle of the Bands to decide the fate of Planet Earth, I would feel very confident putting early Van Halen forward as our champion." -Tom Morello
"There is no heir to the throne of Eddie Van Halen. Nobody sits on that throne. Nobody takes that throne. Here's why it's different with Eddie: when a great guitar player passes, you just move on to another, right? But in this case, Eddie wasn't just a 'guitar player'. We're talking about a guy who changed culture and how we play guitar. He was like an alien coming in and fucking everything up so much that even the legends beforehand are like, 'Okay .. what is happening here? What sorcery is this?'" -Nuno Bettencourt

Jump!
I worked for a pharmaceutical company, and they launched a new product for blood pressure... and they knocked off Right Now..., redid the words to fit the med, got a Sammy-sound-a-like to sing... ruined the song for me... When I saw VH play "Jump" in 1984, I thought the roof was going to blow off the arena when it started You couldn't even hear the song until it "kicked in" after the drum roll.
when I heard "Right Now" live it got a modest response at the start of it.
"Jump" is just a cooler song IMOEat Us and Smile!

for the hulkamaniac brother i have to say jump over right now any day of the week. both are great songs but it is jump that made van halen a household word. VH-1 has been playing davind lee roth and van halen videos lately and i got to see the jump video again. What power the song had. Right now does have deeper lyrics but it is not a party song or a rock athem like Jump is. Jump may be the david era's biggest song. i tihnk we could use more rock like jump on the radio today and in our lives. i am giving my vote to jump as one of the best songs that was on 1984 album and is currently being played on vh-1
