Describe the plot for the poundcake video

I really dig this video, alot of beautiful women. Eddie went totally balistic with the drill in the intro... hell, even Sammy looked kinda cool in this video!

However I found myself dumbfounded at the storyline.

Eddie opens up the video with his maniac guitar/drill sequence.

A beautiful brunette wants to gets casted for the new Van Halen video.

She peeks in the door hole, find more beautiful women wearing hats, powdering each others' buttocks.

They all have drills, the brunette watches them...

In the other room

Sammy is jamming around in his caverechis (the same one's hammer wore in "U Can't Touch This) Smoke is fogging up the whole stage. Eddie keeps looking at Mike's mullet, and alex is pounding away at his drums wearing his U2 Bono sunglasses.

The brunette runs away from the door that reads, "Van Halen Casting"

Since when is a beatiful brunette insecure about her looks?

Why were all the blondes inside the casting room fondling each other?

What was on top of Michaels' Head?

I'm lost!!!

Brother, it's just a rock 'n 'roll video. I don't think there was any particular deep meaning or plot to it. It was precisely what you described. Just enjoy it for what it was.

I have to admit I have scratched my head more than a few times trying to figure that video out.
I think this is the director's formula for success:
1 part classic VH style performance video + 1 part many hot girls fondling each other = great video
It works for me.

You were expecting a plot back then? Hell, they were still mostly in the, "Show the band playing and, er, yeah, more smoke! Smoke is good!" videos
