Happy Trails vs. Inside

Both of these tunes are fillers. But, Happy Trails has [img]smilies/bounce.gif[/img] and is a better song. VH ended the concerts for the 1984 tour with Happy Trails! [img]smilies/thumb.gif[/img]

In my opinion, this is a no-brainer.

You're kidding me, right? Happy Trails is classic VH. It's not "filler," because if it were filler it'd be a lot longer than a minute. It's the punctuation mark on the most underrated Van HALEN album, Diver Down. It's the perfect ending for that album, probably the loosest album they made. It's all about having a sense of humor.

Inside--now THAT is filler crap. What a horrible song!

I've never heard "Inside" but how can anyone not like "Happy Trails" - man, you don't like "Happy Trails", I don't think you get what Van Halen was all about at one time. Just a classic blowing off some steam having a joke with the world way off finishing off an album that was basically squeezed out of 'em by the Bros. Warner. Is it rock 'n roll? No! But it's Van Halen - or at least what Van Halen once was... Hard to imagine that Edward used to have fun!

There is no question that Happy Trails IS a filler, and Inside is as well. But between the two, Inside is better. Of course that's my opinion, and of course my opinion means absolutely nothing to any one but me. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] Out.
