Okay, I just wanna ask what everybody thinks the best song off of 1984 is. It's my favorite VH album because I think it covers the most bases and Dave is amazing.

I picked Girl Gone Bad. It seems too easy to pick one of the hits, and GGB rocks, from the cool intro on through to the end.

I did end up picking PANAMA, Glenn. But I agree, GIRL GONE BAD is unbelievable. Just one of the most creative and energetic songs I've ever heard. And Dave is amazing. The solo is one of Eddie's best.
I agree with HOT FOR TEACHER too. It's an unbelievable confident piece of work.
This whole album swings!"I had a girl beating on my hotel door all night...She was screaming, crying. Finally, I said, 'What the hell'...and I let her out!"- DLR

Damn, this is tough. I pretty much love the entire album. I could probably narrow my favorite song down to Panama, Top Jimmy, or Girl Gone Bad. I guess I'll give it to Top Jimmy for Ed's awesome solo.
"One of the reasons I left Sabbath was because Van Halen was blowing us off the stage every night. It was embarrassing." -Ozzy Osbourne
"When I first heard "Runnin' With The Devil" on the radio, I was stunned and found myself dizzy, walking through my high school hallways thinking, "What was THAT?!"
Eddie Van Halen was so innovative and kicked so much ass, and David Lee Roth was for a time indisputably the Greatest Man in America.
If aliens came down and challenged us to a Battle of the Bands to decide the fate of Planet Earth, I would feel very confident putting early Van Halen forward as our champion." -Tom Morello
"There is no heir to the throne of Eddie Van Halen. Nobody sits on that throne. Nobody takes that throne. Here's why it's different with Eddie: when a great guitar player passes, you just move on to another, right? But in this case, Eddie wasn't just a 'guitar player'. We're talking about a guy who changed culture and how we play guitar. He was like an alien coming in and fucking everything up so much that even the legends beforehand are like, 'Okay .. what is happening here? What sorcery is this?'" -Nuno Bettencourt

Hot For Teacher. One of Ed's best solos and the song is quite the funny tune. I always wished he'd have used the V in the video instead of the Kramer. Just to be different and since it's the guitar he used to record it with.

Shit, I didn't know that Kenyon. You learn something new every day.
Still a great video, even with the wrong guitar."I had a girl beating on my hotel door all night...She was screaming, crying. Finally, I said, 'What the hell'...and I let her out!"- DLR

"Girl Gone Bad" does it for me. I also like "House of Pain" and "Panama", but only when I haven't heard it on the radio for about 4 weeks.

"Top Jimmy" for me. But I also love DDL and the outro of "House of Pain" is brilliant.
