Hina and Tell The Truth

I was listening to these two the other day, and started wondering something. Do you guys think they spring from the same experience?

I don't know. I doubt it. DLR has so many "experiences" he probably doesn't remember which one their from. Both are great songs though. Both are also examples to hold up to the people that claim DLR can only do songs about fucking or drinking.

Going on the theory that they're about one experience, I see Tell The Truth as being written during the experience, and Hina being written after having some distance from it. Hina is kinda Dave's way of warning the next guy to be careful.

Only thing about that theory is Dave would have to have written about the "during" on a later sweep since Tell the Truth was the later release (ALAE, if my memory holds out).

I suppose anything is possible.

I dunno. I was just thinking about this the other day. Sometimes anger like Tell The Truth surfaces after a relationship has been over for a while. I guess I should say you become able to express that anger. I was listening to both of them, and they seem to be different ways of looking at the same relationship to me.
