Just watched 'Varsity Blues' last night for the first time. I absolutely loved the part of the movie where they played 'Hot for Teacher' in the background. For anybody who hasn't seen the movie, they play the song at a strip club where the Sex Ed teacher of the local high school is dancing. The movie was pretty good but that part took the cake.

Cool!
I think VH must be the most mentioned rock band in movie history. They are either being mentioned by name or their music is being used in the backfound.
Let's list some:
1) Fast Times at Ridgemont High
2) Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
3) Wayne's World 2
4) Varsity Blues
5) Space Balls (Good Enough is being played in the backround during the diner scene at the end).
6) Mission to Mars ( Dance the Night Away being played in the backround)
Uuummm... I can't think of anything else. Help me guys.

I think these are some:
Seduction of Gina
Back To The Future(just an unreleased thing)
Over The Edge
Over The Top
Dodge commercial
I'd go to the "official"site for more movies.

I saw that movie a while ago and appreciated that scene. One of my favorite VH references in a movie is Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure: "Maybe we should get some guitar lessons from Eddie Van Halen."

The best VH reference I can remember is in Airheads. Fraser asks Michael Richards whose side he was on in the VH vs. Roth spectacle. Richards, playing a cop, says "Halen." Fraser and Steve Buscemi look at each other and say,"Cop." Richards, getting kicked out of the building, says "Now they sold a lot of records when Sammy joined..." something like that...

That was the best part of that movie!
But my favorite VH related movie has to be Better Off Dead. The Burger singing EWS and playing Eddie's classic red and white stripped guitar. That was classic.
