Just came across this song yesterday... I found it was actually a good song! I think it would have been a good single, too... sorta in that "Top of the World" vein...
Anybody got the tab for it?
Thanks-
Chuck

Yeah they should have used it on 3 and I think it may have gone platinum instead of Gold.

"That's Why I Love You" is a cool track and a more polished version would have definately been a hit single.

I hate the song. It's even worse than the stuff they put on III with few exceptions. It has no melody and the chords are very boring. The backup vocals and are also completely uninteresting. Sorry, it's one of my most hated VH songs (if you can even call it VH).

I hear ya preachin', Rikk--this 'song' is horseshit. As was the album and all the press involved.

I like the song and it should have been on the album (especially if Gary would re-sing the vocals so he didn't sound like he was in complete pain).
However, I don't think it would have saved VH3."Running the ball is like making romance..."

It's a good song even though it's a really rough version of it. With some cleaning up, it would have sounded even better. I don't think it would have 'saved' VH3 but it would have been an improvement over 'How Many Say I'.

It woudl not have saved VHIII, but at the very least it would have been a song with a HOOK in it, (Unlike MOST of the songs on VH III)
No Hook = No money
That was the problem with much of VH III. The songs for the most part (with the exception of a few) really did not have good "sing along" sections.... ie: a hook, that captures the listener's ear.
TWILY had a good hook and would have improved VH III (but not saved it)
However I agree with what someone said earlier: Gary's vocals are horrible on this tune. He sounds in pain."Sorry about the mess..."<br /><br />~Han Solo Episode IV

You know what, that is the first time I have ever heard that song, it's not to bad. Actually the song portion itself is good as hell (VH Pop Song),
but the vocals were just not what the song needed, and the background vocals were scratch ones' at best, im sure they intended to re-do those if it was used on the album. The song though sounded finished, seems like the vocals were supposed to get more work.
That was cool, I needed that. I started to forget why I think Eddie is a musical genious. He can write a cool hook when he want's to, nobody has written that many good rock songs for as long as he has, it's true if you think about it. Well im not nearly as pissed as I was at the band, it's kinda like getting a brand new song!
Oh well, that's my opinion anyways.
