Simply put, I think Neworld is way cooler.
Although I'd like to hear the 30 minute version of 1984 Ed origially recorded before they cut it down to a minute plus.

Hmmmm, tough one. Although I love everything about 1984, I can't help but think the song "1984" sounds a bit dated. Which is odd because I think all the Roth stuff still sounds fresh and kick ass even today, which is something most bands can't do. I don't know, as far as melody and everything goes, I have to give it to Neworld.

Spanish Doctor refuses to ever give VH III credit.Hahaha! I say Neworld, good harmonic work because if any of you guitar players have tried to play it,it is tough but that record is.

I like both. 1984 wins over a slight margin. I hate the fact that Mike Post played the piano on that song and helped produce VH's worst record to date.

I like New World. It's really cool to me to see all the awsome stuff Ed can put into an understated piece like that.

1984. Neworld is cool too, but 1984 is cooler. It sounds like it came from space.

Hmmmm ... I really like them both, too. They're so different though. I don't know. I guess I'd pick Neworld by a hair.
By the way, to what GirlGoneBad said about Neworld being a lot harder to play than it sounds, when VH was on MattRock promoting 3 Eddie tried to play a little of it, and couldn't. He kept noodling around, but just couldn't get it. He then made the comment that it was "the hardest thing I did on the whole damn record".

Without a doubt, '1984'!!!!!
I may be biased since I was 12 years old
when it came out. Kids are pretty impressionable at that age.
