In praise of "Love Walks In"

OK, I'm sure some of you out there may not care much for this "sappy" Hagar era song...

But I was driving in my car today and "Love Walks In" came on and DAMN it just felt GOOD to here it! I gotta say it is a DAMN GOOD pop/rock song! Don't get me wrong, I love to listen to harder edged VH songs such as Romeo Delight, Sinner's Swing!, Human's Being, Runnin' With The Devil, Judgement Day...etc... but I'll tell ya, when I'm in the mood for something sweet sounding and beautiful: "Love Walks In" absolutely does it for me!


Anyone out there agree with me? Or am I just getting sappy in my old (26) age?......LOL....

I know what you mean, man! Van Halen can put me in a good mood, no matter what song it is! Love Walks In is a great song, IMO!

Love Walks In is a great song. I've heard several people say that they prefer the live version off of LWAN, but to me the studio version is the best.

Hey I'm a romantic at heart and their's nothing wrong with a good ballad. The whole songs kicks ass and the lyrics are way cool. It's pretty cool how Sammy meshes the alien stuff within a love song. Pretty unique.

Great song! When I first listened to "5150," this song had the most impact...still does. I believe this is Ed's best keyboard song.

Eddie had actually the solo of Love Walks in already written. He said in (Guitar: The Buddy System) interview, that he noticed the solo melody he already had fit the song, so he thought he might as well use it.

Sorry to rain on your parade fellas, but this one always has me reachin' for the fast forward button. I much prefer 'Not Enough', 'When it's love' and 'Feels so good'. Still, it's only an opinion... I haven't listened to LWAN in a long time, maybe I'll go home and have a listen again...
