Pat Boone's Panama

Has anyone heard his version of Panama. I recently downloaded at the army and it is awful. He completely butchers it and it makes u laugh and then puke. Has anyone else heard it?

I've got that Pat Boone CD. I think it's hilarious. Pat took those tunes and went Big Band on them so you have to sort of be into that music. It's not really meant to be taken as a serious cover. On "Panama" that was Dweezil Zappa on guitar. My favorite on the CD was probably "Crazy Train". "Enter Sandman", "You've Got Another Thing Coming", "Holy Diver" were all pretty swingin'. "Love Hurts" was so bad it was funny.

Another thing, of all the songs on the CD including stuff by Priest, Ozzy, Metallica, Dio, Guns n Roses etc., the only lyrics Pat Boone had to change due to content was on "Panama". The part where Dave sings about "an off-ramp coming thru my bedroom", Pat thought that was too risque so he changed it.
