RHRN video ?

Antone know why they didn't include "Won't get fooled again" in the video?
They could have done without lame songs like "Spanked" and "Man on a Mission", neither really holds my attention when I am watching it.

I loved the version of "Panama" on the disc, It was IMO, the best I have ever heard Sammy do.

I don't like how they included every song from FUCK on the video and didn't put anything from 5150 on it. I'm sure many fans would rather see WCTBL and Dreams instead of Spanked and In 'N' Out.

I like the video overall. I agree that too much material from the F.U.C.K album is on it. I think a couple of extra tunes from 5150 and OU812 would have made it much better. How about a track like Good Enough or Feels So Good just to make it a more rounded video? The best part of the video is right at the end with all the fireworks going off, it gives me goose bumps every time I see it.

I liked Live Without A Net better - even though there are mistakes, it had a wilder, more spontaneous vibe. I didn't like seeing footage from two nights intertwined.

They didn't want to repeat the songs that were already on Live Without A Net, and it was a good call, cause I didn't want to see essentially the same song a few years down the road.

That's what's disappointing about AC/DC's Stiff Upper Lip DVD - not much variance in the set list (except 5 songs) considering they were released on consecutive tours. [img]graemlins/irked.gif[/img]

I don't wanna see the same songs time after time after time, certainly not WCTBL or Dreams, something more like AFU or Source of Infection live would kick ass! i thought In 'n' Out live rocked, even though it was polished up! [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

I should add that there is a Won't Get Fooled Again video from the 5150 studio--a boot.

I agree with Mars.Live Without a Net rules! RHRN is good but to me it's too perfect.Plus the footage from two different nights drives me crazy.Musically its great,but I am partial to LWAN.They need to put it out on DVD

'Won't Get Fooled Again' would have been a great addition to the video. 'Man on a Mission' has to be one of my least favorite songs by them so if it wasn't on the the video, I wouldn't have lost any sleep. 'Live Without A Net' definitely has a more spontaneous feel to it so I would give it the edge.

I, too, agree with Mars. LWAN is raw and a band discovering itself. RHRN drives me bonkers because they intertwined two nights - I can never tell which is live and which is memorex. Plus, NOTHING is worse than the director at the beginning of RHRN talking about his "Rocumentary". He is the abosolute personificaion of Marti DiBergi from Spinal Tap. It's just a shame that the band is more Tapish than not these days.

There was more footage shown than just the two nights in Fresno. In Fresno, they didn't play "In N Out", "Man On A Mission", or "Spanked". They played much more stuff off of OU812 and 5150, but I'm sure didn't want to repeat LWAN. I don't know where the other footage is from, but it wasn't from Fresno. I don't know if they ever filmed a version of "Won't Get Fooled Again" on tour, either.

Everybody`s complaining about the intertwined shootage and I don`t want to step on someone`s feet, but i think the Video isn`t live at all.
Ed mentioned a few years ago that they shot the first night and couldn`t use it cause of the crappy soung they had and how andry he was they put so many bucks in the toilet. So, i guess they shot the second night and mixed it with the first night, and nobody can tell wich is live and wich is not. There is no easier way to polish you`re live records. And we know everybody doesn`t do it live these days.

Also, the sound isn`t what i call live sound. LWOAN was live ( except the background vocals) and it`s sounding live.
VH is one of the greatest live bands, but they do make mistakes. In all of my boots Sam always misses some notes or lil things like that. On this Videos there aren`t any mistakes. And hear the background vocals! Ed and Mike sounding live? You tell me!
Just my opinion, anyone else?

They probably would have included Won't Get Fooled Again had they actually recorded the song live...

Yeah,

I think that video sucks compared to LWAN, it's like your watching and you get a headache from them switching footage every other second.

Where they fucked up is, not having them (sammy) wear the same clothes as he did the first night.

That director is an idiot. Who cares about his sorry ass??? But that jack ass at the end of the video.

Yeah it was stupid that they had different clothes and in some case different instruments in the same song. I was a good concert and they should release the entire footage of all the songs that are on the cd. I think 'one way to rock' would be the best the watch becasue it is the best sounding song by far.

Hey is it just my copy or has evertones copy of Live Without a Net list Good Enough and not show the footage. And Is it true that it is coming out on DVD. Hey does anyone have Live Here Right Now on Laser Disc, what is it like?

It doesn't list Good Enough on my copy of LWAN. I wish that song would have been on LWAN because it kicks major ass and would have been cool to see them play it.
