What're your three favorite songs Van Halen covered in their club days or during tours?
These are mine (this week)
1 Rock and Roll - Led Zeppelin
2 Last Child - Aerosmith
3 Tush - ZZ Top
When I listen to a lot of VH covers and then to the original, I think Van Halen did a better job with most of them then the original artists (with exceptions of course
)

1. Summertime Blues- Whenever they played this live with Dave it was always amazing. Rush's version on R30 is surprisingly and puzzlingly flat and SLOW.
2. Where Have All The Good Times Gone- The live versions on the DD tour were vastly superior to the album version, particularly Al's drumming.
3. You're No Good- Always loved the back and forth interplay of Dave's screeching and Ed's guitar. Also a great bass intro by Mike.
