Big Bad Bill (Is Sweet William Now)

For the longest time I used to not like this song but after listening to Diver Down a few days ago I started digging it. It's been in my head ever since. Dave's voice seems to fit well with jazz.

Probably the only Vh song that I can singalong with. The others are a bit too high for my range~

Shows the true diversity of classic VH. Who else could kick your ass with something like "Light Up The Sky", then turn around and do a "Big Bad Bill" style song without battin' an eyelash. This is why they are/were the best. Let's see a band like Creed or Staind attempt something that daring. Don't think so.

Precisely. It was different, but still cool. Unlike VH3 for instance, which was different in a very bad way. It was all just part of the magic of the original true Van HALEN.

Nope. Hardly any of today's bands show any diversity. You think they would attempt a hard rock boogie, let alone do a Big Bad Bill? I think not.

This song is a true example of what FUN Van Halen used to be. Too bad those days have long past.

Without a doubt one of my favorite Van Halen tunes of all !!

Songs like this one and Could This Be Magic? really show off VH's diversity. Like Dave said in his book, "Classic Van Halen could sing Happy Birthday and make it rip" (paraphrased)
