I'm relatively new to the board so this may have been proposed before but here it goes anyway....

You guys are gonna think I'm nuts but in my opinion, the solo in OFOTD is THEE best EVH solo in any VH song...yes, Eruption included. To me, there is just an in-your-face, kick-ass edge to it that was, has and will never be matched. What do you think? Let the flaming begin.

I don't see how anyone would flame you for your opinion on that. One Foot Out the Door seems to be regarded as the weak link of the Fair Warning album but I think it's great closing song.

Personally, I think Ice Cream Man is the best EVH guitar solo, but it's all opinions.

You're right about flaming someone foan an opionion. But because OFOTD is regarded by some as the weak link on what is, IMO, the best VH album, I figure there are enough die-hards on this board that would think I'm crazy. The solo still gets me fired up after all of these years (19).

I think that OFOTD is a hell sick song and being the kind of person that scams chicks who already have men I hell ilke it. The solo is sick especially when Ed steps on his MXR pedal and changes the tone mid solo. It is just another example of how good Fair Warning is.

There are no 'weak links' on FairWarning. Shame on you!

I must agree with Glenn....OFOTD is a rocking solo but...Ice Cream Man is Edward at his best!

I love Ed's outro on One Foot. I think it's one of his best, too.

I love everything 'bout that song. The solo, the lyrics, and that cool keyboard riff that runs throughout the song. I love that album.

I think I'll go listen to it now!

    Informer Stallion,

I just listened to both those solos. IMHO, they are both very very good but they lack a certain anger and in-your-face attitude evident in the OFOTD solo. We're all entitled to opinions though.
