I was delightfully pleased by my purchase of this live VH set. It has a lot of good Sammy songs and everyone sounds great! My only complaint is that everything sounds too much like the orginal albums...lol. Actually, I also find it weird with such a lack or Dave-era tunes. At least 316 rocked. What's everyone elses opinions on this set?

I like the album...there were a lot of songs that I wish woulda been on there, but when a band has that many good songs, some of 'em are gonna be left out. Really liked the cover of Won't get Fooled Again. I have the poster of the album cover in my room.

For a live album it's ok. I really don't listen to it that much anymore. I have the bootleg where 90% of the concert was recorded, and I listen to that more often. I like the sound better. IMO, that is. I was/am disappointed with the video though. I would love to find out who's idea it was to keep it like that. All that grainy artsy shit doesn't do our boys justice. I will say this, when the cds came out, I wore that bitch out. The original cardboard sleeves are shot to hell. LOL Out

The album is not nearly live enough. Plus, it's got way too many FUCK songs and not enough of the rest. Granted it was recorded on the FUCK tour, but where is Summer Nights, Mine All Mine, and others. I have the boot called USA 1992 which is from the same shows and it's a little more raw and therefore a better album in my opinion.

I agree with Glenn. Although I like the FUCK album, I feel there are way too many songs on RHRN from that album.

I mean, every song from that album is on the live record except for The Dream is Over..(Which in a sick ironic twist for me, happens to be my FAVORITE song from FUCK)

I would have liked to see other songs from the Sammy era such as Summer Nights, Good Enough, and Black and Blue. Plus I was wishing there were a couple more Dave era songs as well....

i think they decided to keep out some of the tunes they had on LWAN. that's why we don't have summer nights and that old stuff...

and for sure... USA 1992 rocks better!!!

i love boots... what can i do???

I agree - if you're going to put out a live album with a band lineup thats been together that long, you shouldn't showcase one damn album. They should have named it "Live F***ing".

I really didn't like it - glad I borrowed it instead of buying it...

IMO Hagar screeches throughout the whole thing, and his crowd chant during "Panama" (Right Now! Right Now!) was nothing short of total disrespect for the song and the legacy of Van Halen.
Instrumentally, the CD is cool - especially when they stray from the usual FUCK fluff - In -n- Out, Man on a Mission, etc...

You can tell I don't miss Van Hagar one bit...

Rokgtar, you thieving bastard, I was going to post the same thing about Sammy yelling right now in the middle of Panama!

I thought that was silly-ass, man.

I was just listening to the set the other day and I have to say that it's not the best live album I've ever heard, but it's good for what it has on it.

There should have been "Summer Nights" "5150" or "Get up" (which is like Sammy's Romeo Delight, in my opinion).

They also could have done some jamming to "Source of Infection" because Sammy sure as hell wasn't going to sing THAT one.

I loved their covers of "One Way To Rock" (kick ASS!!!) and "Won't Get Fooled Again." (but I AM a Who fan, so what do you expect? )

All in all, the album was good, but not great. Not enough variation in my opinion.

I do think that "Won't Get Fooled Again" was a great cover - one that suits Sammy well as a vocalist.
