I'm a little slow in getting all of Van Halen's remastered discs but I wanted to give a thumbs up to the sound quality on 'Fair Warning'. Why did I pick that one? Well, I put 'Van Halen' the first day the remasters came out and I was in the mood for something really rockin'. I listened to the first 4 songs and was really impressed. You can hear all the vocals clearly and Al's drums in 'Dirty Movies' sound huge. I think I'll have to get either 'VHII' or 'WACF' because I thought those were the two that needed a little boosting up.

All the remasters are an improvement especially 2 , DD , and FW . I wish they would put VH 1 on DVD Audio .

Definately pick up VH2 next if you liked the Fair Warning remasters. You will notice a significant difference there, I think that the VH2 remasters had the greatest enhancement and is the best of them all.

I thought that Diver Down was the album that needed the most boosting. DD or VH II are easily the most improved two in my opinion. I don't find much of a difference at all in 1984.

I disagree with you Glenn. I think that there was a big improvement in 1984.
I was most impressed with the remastered version of 1984. Especially on I'll Wait.

Well I'll tell ya why I picked that one first also, and no it wasn't because of Mean streets or Unchaines it was because of the song HAIL. Man I think that's my fav song off the whole ablum, it's a trip too cause most people dig it for the reason of those songs. If that makes sense?I dunno I'm kinda tatered right now but I hope you got the jist of it.
Word!
Btw SS and HAIL where huge surprises on that remaster ...

I think the biggest improvement of 1984 is the coloring of the cover.
That, and now Girl Gone Bad doesn't skip in at the very start.
I just don't hear much of a difference (beyond volume of course) with 1984. Having said that, I'm more than happy to listen to it 1000 more times in case I'm wrong.

I have not heard all the re-masters yet, but, I have WACF and I must say it sounds incredible. Tora Tora and Loss Control is killer !!! The whole sound of the CD is so much better...
If VH has given us anything lately its the remasters...
