I was just listening to some of their stuff over at www.theatomicpunks.net in particular I'm The One, shit man that guitar player is fucking dead on with that stuff. I don't know if that's the guy that Dave took on tour or not but that dude is an Eddie clone, they are pretty impressive.

Yep they are.

And no the guitarist playing on all the audio and video on the site is Russ Parrish, not Brian Young, who was/is on tour with Dave.

The Atomic Punks rule! Since it appears there is no more Van Halen, I would have to say The Punks are now my favorite band.

I saw them last Saturday night at the Anaheim House of Blues, and as usual, they were great! I took my brother and three of my friends that I've known since grade school. They all loved the show.

Russ does Eddie pretty much as well as Brian does. Brian seems a little more natural, but Russ is a tremendous guitar player.

Ralph does Dave much better than Dave does himself. If anybody out there hasn't seen The Punks, do yourself a favor and check them out. You will be glad you did.

You were there? Cool. It was a good show, they played a lot of stuff they have never done with Russ before. It looked packed, it was kinda hard to tell we were backstage and off to the side so I couldn't really see the crowd.

Russ is a lot of fun to watch, has the Eddie mannerisms down pat.

Brett,

We were in front of the bar on Russ's side. How did you get backstage? Did FabShadow hook you up?

Why did The Punks go on so early? I'm used to seeing them go on around midnight. Also, they only played around 90 minutes. They need to play at least 2 hours and include the following songs:

Somebody Get Me A Doctor
I'm The One
Hear About It Later
Romeo Delight

Can you believe they played Why Can't This Be Love? (Well, part of it, anyway) Have they ever done that before? Also, they should scrap Jump and Pretty Woman.

It was still a great show, though.

Coulda, Top Timmy and I run the Punks' site now man. That's how I get backstage. Don't you notice all the Punks plugs all over the board?

You were on Russ' side? Did you see those two chicks get in a fight? I had a good view of that from the side of the stage, that was good.

They have done "I'm The One" before, we got video and audio of that on the site, the video for it is down right now though. They did "Everybody Wants Some," which was cool. Even did a little bit of that DLR tune, "I'm Easy." Few people knew that tune.

I got to see The Punks at Paladino's and they totally rock... They played "Why Can't This Be Love", but just as if Dave would sang that song.... It was hilarious! They also played Yankee Rose........

I'll go to see them again..... They rock! TRIVIA: Did you know that Russ Parish played in the first Rob Halford's Fight CD?????

Brett,

I didn't see the cat fight. Sounds like it was pretty entertaining.

Yeah, Everybody Wants Some was cool. So was I'm Easy.

The first couple of times I saw The Punks, they opened with Somebody Get Me A Doctor and played I'm The One. Those two songs are a couple of my all-time VH favorites.

I've never seen them play Romeo Delight. Do they ever play it?

With Brian and Bart they did it, but I don't believe they ever have with Russ...Russ on guitar that is. Russ on bass, I am pretty sure they have.
