If you’re wondering what I throw just so you have kind of an idea when you start learning this stuff, these are the seven main balls that I currently use in order of strength.

Storm IQ Tour AI
Storm Road Warrior
900 Global Xponent
Urethane Purple Hammer (my one non-Storm product)

I only use the Hammer on sport shots or to shoot spares on sport spots. You should not be using a urethane ball on a house shot on anything but spares.

The game is very complicated now with different oil patterns to make it more difficult and stuff like that. There’s always been challenging oil patterns, but much different now. Now I think it’s much easier to score than it used to be because the balls are so powerful, but the game itself has gotten much more complicated. That’s why pros are allowed to have what’s called “ball reps” when they bowl, even on tv, which are basically coaches. Back in the day we couldn’t have any coaching when bowling a PBA event. I remember once my dad mentioned a couple things to me and I got warned.

I feel like I just came out of a time machine. I was amazed at all these crazy good players that roll with two hands now. That's crazy to me.

Yeah, a lot of boomers have an issue with guys throwing with two hands, but I don’t see what the big deal is. Whatever gets the fucking pins down.

Reading this makes me realize how much fun I had bowling in a league for 20 years. It can be very complicated as Brett says. Guy on my team had this freaking wrist brace that he custom made with about 30 adjustments. Looked like Thanos up there. Tweaking this and that.

they spray the rental shoes but I don't think I have never seen them run rental balls thru a washer. Can only imagine what grime and dirt lurks in them.
