I am sure he can still play fairly well and does so in his private time. It's not like he showed up to those book signings and interviews for Brothers with a cane or a walker.

Incorrect. He was using a cane at the talk Brett and I attended. Al ain't playin' drums anymore.

These guys have been MIA for years. We cannot be sure of ANYTHING.

Except for this: they have big egos and hold grudges forever.

I can be sure Alex isn’t playing drums live anytime soon.

I bet Alex can still play drums. He says he plays drums at home.

Peter Frampton could barely walk when I saw him live last year. But he could still play guitar great and sing while sitting in a chair.

Playing drums at 70 is a lot tougher than playing guitar at 70. Especially Van Halen songs.

I think it's gotta be clickbait. If it isn't, I wouldn't expect shows around it. It would have to just be cleaning up songs and releasing them. I don't think Al can REALLY play drums anymore. Besides, didn't he sell most of his equipment?

I expect this to be just instrumentals. Even if they have vocals, I expect them to be shaved off like in Unfinished (assuming it was in fact Between Us Two).

Luke's a producer and mixer and oversaw the remasters of all TOTO's catalogue from master tapes a few years back and the reconstruction of a few unreleased tracks. As well as producing his own solo albums.

I have as much faith in s/t being released as I do about Jimmy Page's "next" project.

Playing guitar and playing drums is a lot different.

Trust me, I don’t care what Al says. If you saw him like we saw him, he could barely move.
