Kenny and Jeremy discussed his experience with Van Halen's last tour. Kenny shared how the tour came together through him and Ed's communication, and how the band treated them with respect.

He also mentioned his interaction with David Lee Roth, describing him as distant and not as approachable as the rest of the band.

Didn't he tell this story already somewhere else? I know I read this here before... Dude (interviewer) is trying to steer away from it but it's obviously what KWS wanted the interview to be about. Sorry Dave hurt your feelings bro... I'm sure you will get over it.

Like half of that 10 min interview was KWS complaining and whining... Maybe he should join Wolf's band.

Both shows I was at with KWS opening, 90% of the crowd was talking amongst themselves and resting in lawn chairs unaware of who he was during his set..., so there's that. When I saw Kool and The Gang open in 2012, the place was rocking...

In March 2021, the Blues Foundation revoked Kenny Wayne Shepherd's 2021 Blues Music Awards nomination for Best Blues/Rock Artist. According to a statement from the organization, the decision was made over Confederate flag imagery displayed on Shepherd's The Dukes of Hazzard "General Lee" car replica. Shepherd acknowledged the offensiveness of the flag on his car and said he had permanently covered it some time ago. "Years ago I put that car in permanent storage and some time ago, I made the decision to permanently cover the flag on my car because it was completely against my values and offensive to the African American community which created the music I love so much and I apologize to anyone that I have unintentionally hurt because of it." The organization also asked Shepherd's father, Ken Shepherd, to step down as a member of its board of directors. Ken Shepherd declined to comment on being asked to step down.

Oh - and MEL GIBSON is his father in law for the last 20 years... I wonder if he does any interviews with YouTubers about his father in law's anti-semitism? Probably not.

Yeah Kool & The Gang brought a party. Got everybody moving & juiced. KWS brought second-rate SRV knock off vibes. I don’t think Dave was being rude, I think he’s probably just reached the point in his life where he doesn’t want to waste his remaining minutes on boring people.
