Beef tallow fries are the way to go. It’s what McD’s used to use back in the day.

Theres a British steakhouse in NYC (Hawksmoor) that does a triple cooked beef tallow fry that is just immaculate.

There is something to be said about the stigma of “animal fats being bad” that needs to be remedied.

Butter > Margarine always. I make my own occasionally too and it’s the simplest thing.

The problem isn't that a restaurant is cooking in beef tallow. We all know that the scare behind that wasn't real. Cook them in that! Who cares? The problem is that there is very little, if any, solid science to back up the fact that cooking in beef tallow is healthier, and very little, if any, solid science that seed oils are worse.

The other problem is he has spent more time talking about beef tallow than the measles vaccine during a measles outbreak. And then he goes on TV talking about how great beef tallow fries are while pointing to the health of kids in TX as the reason for contracting measles when there is no evidence it is the case for those kids.

The priorities here are all out of whack.

The science on seed oils isn’t determined either. It was an alternative pushed by the FDA and considering America’s healthcare system is for profit, it’s very hard to absorb what the FDA and big pharma describe as “healthier”, when all they’re concerned about is having a revolving door of sick people. That’s their business. That’s all they care about. Period.

Multiple upon multiple chefs have come out saying animals fats (butter, lard, tallow, etc) are perfectly fine. Are they scientists? No. But they also don’t give a shit about creating a revolving door of sickness that fills the pockets of those in the FDA and the US health care system.

It’s quite the racket when you can push supposedly “healthier options” that aren’t at all healthier that will ensure that people show up to claim on their health insurance down the line.

When it comes to RFK’s comments/opinions about measles, he loses me.

Isn't measels one of those diseases that once you get it, your immune for life? I got it when I was a toddler as did my bro and sis. We obviously recovered. We all did get shots when we were kids but never got any of the serious childhood diseases. Just chicken pox and strep throat.

Well, of course everybody got chickenpox back in the day. Actually, I didn’t get it until I was 18 and only because my mom was a teacher and she got it at like 46! Now of course the vaccine took care of that.

I think you can get the measles a second time but it’s very uncommon.
