    wasn't Cetera the bass player?

IMO, one of the most EVH-like / EVH-channeled leads and solo by a later gen guitarist. Don't tire of this tune.

Vito Bratta was the heir apparent to EVH. Such a shame he vanished from the music scene. Same with Chris DeGarmo from Queensryche. Talented guitarists no longer sharing their talent.

DeGarmo is a forgotten talent -- Queensryche was an evolution of Rush that I could dig.

I think he had the most EVH-like lead playing. His rhythm playing was more subdued. It's too bad he retired so early. Dude was touring all over the world and then suddenly just stayed with family on Staten Island, IIRC. Pretty drastic change.

LD, i can think only of Vito Bratta and Reb Beach when I think of the pure EVH influence. They could make beautiful and tasteful songs using the tappng technique. Yes, many others could tap but only Bratta and Beach made awesome music from it that would make Edward proud!

Godly song from April Wine! When I first heard that on the radio, I was like... whoa, who the hell are these guys?! All those crunchy guitars, not to mention they were from Canada. Along with VHII, made getting high in 1979 extremely pleasurable!
