If you have nothing nice to say about Eddie Van Halen, you're at the right website. - Me (A few years ago)

"People take Van Halen much more seriously than we do" - David Lee Roth (1980's)

"I don't sit on the end of your bed while you're trying to make a living" - David Lee Roth (1988)

"For some reason people love to complain about everything. The internet has made it easy for people to do that. Shut the fuck up and get a life, or show me how good you can do it."- Edward Van Halen

"A lot of people ask me which Van Halen singer was better. You can't compare them. It's like asking which guitarist is better. Nobody is better than anybody. Every player is their own person."-Edward Van Halen

"I do like Eddie Van Halen as a player. He gets it right quite often." -Paul McCartney

“The heart and the soul and the creativity and the magic was Dave, Ed, Mike, and me,” - Alex Van Halen 2024

    Pretty cool
"He has a swaggering retro machismo that will give hives to the Steinem cabal" -Camille Paglia on Donald Trump

"But, fucking with Brook is like fucking with hot shit on and ax handle. You just don't get a grip"-track5

"Make way for the bad guy"- Tony Montana

'This hamburger don't need no helper"- David Lee Roth

"I wish Bon Jovi would've given me a call before he recorded all of his hits, because the lyrics would've been smarter, the melodies would've been much more smashing, and they would've sold a lot fewer records." -David Lee Roth

"My beef is people thinking Bon Jovi is good cuz they sold lots of records to housewives." -tango

"But being number one doesn’t really mean jack fuck all. We sold twice as many records as other records that year (1984) that landed in the Number One position." ~Eddie Van Halen

To me, that is a lazy as F remaster. Doesn't even have the Japanese release single for YFLM (Mississippi Power) on there, nothing from the archives, not Cruel Obsession nor Shine the Light, or any of the plethora of cover songs he was recording during that period.

Pass, I really don't need my 4th copy of California Girls or a remastered "You're Breathin' It NYC Remix"

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

On CD, who gives a rip. This needs to be released on vinyl so I don't have to drop $100 on a used copy of YFLM from somebody in Greece on Discogs.

looks like one of the basic five album (or in this case 4 albums and 1 EP) collections a lot of the labels do now - paper sleeves recreating the original covers in a slip case but no booklets or inner sleeve artwork

I have to be honest. Why would anybody buy this? I’m pretty confident if you’re a DLR fan you already have all this. There’s nothing special about them.

    Thumbs up

I would like to hear the CD re-masters. Especially on Eat Em' And Smile, Skyscraper and A Little Ain't Enough.

Right Now you're reading my post!

It's 75% probable you will get a better sounding record than the OG IF they remaster it better and technically press it better.

    BUT...

I have heard MANY recent horror stories from friends that newer vinyl re-pressings are actually sounding worse because they fuck up the process.

There is NO mention of being remastered in the listing description.

If these albums were in fact newly remastered it would be stated in the product description.

I clicked a few of the other Rhino 5 LP listings to check and see and the Phil Collin’s specifically states they are newly remastered.

These collections are very common these past 10 years. I assume they are mainly geared towards folks who want the albums on vinyl as well as newer music fans who never had the full back catalog.

I doubt the artists have much input other than the legal consent & perhaps in some releases the artwork.

The Hootie & The Blowfish 6 LP collection also does not state anything about being newly remastered.

The Rush Collection states they included new artwork but no mention of being remastered….

The VH box collections explicitly state they are remastered as we already know.

EDIT; Ok well fuck I just clicked the other link to the Amazon listing and see now in the song list side section they state remastered 2025….so my bad I apologize for the confusion.

Default David Lee Roth The Warner Recordings 1985-1994 coming..

If they’re not at least remastered, there’s absolutely no point to buying them if you have them.
