It will for sure! I remember when Clinton started his presidency, they talked about finding the government was spending $75 for a hammer. People were amazed and thrilled that a POTUS cared about spending etc.
Now, people will be amazed, thrilled with the beginning of DOGE and then I don't know how they will take the billions of dollars wasted etc. I just hope it's people understanding how we've been fucked by the good ol boys on both sides for a very long time. It'll be costly on more than one aspect but we need the truth.
    Just go for it!

I love my country and think I could make a difference. Yeah, it would be a big pay cut, but yeah, I was thinking of duty.

I check all the boxes, DoD, intelligence, degrees, certifications, under cover, etc. I've seen enough death that I fully understand what it means to send men into battle, and I have seen enough of our enemies to know that they need to be destroyed.

But, Trump made it very clear that anyone who supported Nikki Haley could never be a part of his Administration, so that ship has sailed.

Former colleague of mine was in the Trump Administration, by the end, there were so few people left we has Acting Secretary of Defense for a few days. He told me "please don't let anything go down for the next few days."

I am sure most of you already realize this, but a lot of times, the $75 hammer and the $350 toilet seat is just cover for what they really are. Like the aforementioned by DOGE $8,500 lobster tank by the DoD. Good chance that it had nothing to do with a lobster tank.

During the CLinton Administration there was a lot of talk about how things that were sold to the DOD were saddled with so many restrictions and specifications that it made it hard to manufacture and left the manufacturer with just one buyer and that was why everything was so expensive. I'm sure that is true of many things. But my Dad once said to me, you know, you can call anything a toilet seat. And that puzzled me. What did he mean? and he said, well it's sort of like how organized crime launders their money all the time. An invoice is just a piece of paper, you can put anything you want on it. hmmmmm

Your dad was a wise man. All that shit about restrictions and specifications, is just what your dad says it was in most cases. Exceptions of course, but there is a reason the CIA will never pass their financial statement audit.

Good. Can cut waste and still be the world's preeminent military power. No "untouchables"

We can still be the preeminent world military power for $400B a year, not the $800B plus it is now.

While it'll do some good, and we should cut defense, it's still not going to be that meaningful if entitlements are totally off the table.

Just a wild guess off the top of my head, if you were to cut frivolous spending (studies on how transgender monkeys fight while on meth), you might only get rid of $200B a year, which is a start. Then scale down the military, but you can't do that overnight, it has to be over years. So, let's say that gets you to $600B a year in reduction of the deficit. There is no way you get to a surplus without changing entitlements.

And I said it on here, and I was fucking right as usual, I will take my bow.

Do you think when interest rates were low, the Fed swapped out all the short-term debt for long term debt? No, of course not. We could be paying out low interest long term bonds, but instead, we are starting to have to exchange low-interest rate bonds for higher interest rate bonds, because we are fucking idiots.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

My guess is that they simply get rid of DHS, it serves no purpose outside of being an extra bureaucratic layer in the DoD. They can do the same thing with ODNI in the IC.

They are using FAIR's numbers for the $150.7, which aren't serious. FAIR doesn't look at the situation like economists who study the fiscal impact of immigration (both legal and illegal) do. They go in intending to produce a study that shows them as an economic drain.

FAIR doesn't use the Census Bureau's data on noncitizen tax payments. That's probably because the census bureau is also the best data we have for estimating the illegal immigrant population. FAIR makes up their own number, 15.5 million, which is significantly higher than the Bureau's estimate. But this also means, by ignoring the best data we have, they severely underestimate tax contributions. They under estimate the Bureau's data on state income tax by illegal immigrants by 37%, federal income taxes by at least 88%, and Medicare and Social Security taxes by 62%.

On the other hand, they count expenditures on the US citizen children of illegal immigrants, but ignore the tax contributions of those US citizen children as adults. This is typical of these sorts of studies, especially when they compare them to the US citizen children of US citizens, where they do count their tax contributions as adults. FAIR also doesn't account for the increase in property taxes as the value of homes increase. (You can't, on the one hand, complain immigrants are raising housing prices by increasing demand, but then ignore the increase in property tax revenue that it creates.) They also assume that illegal immigrants have zero effect on taxes on corporate income or capital income

Perhaps the weirdest thing is putting 100% of the cost of border enforcement on illegal immigrants already living in the United States. In other words, if, tomorrow, Congress appropriated $2 trillion over the next 10 years to bring illegal immigration to zero, FAIR puts that burden, 100%, on illegal immigrants who are already here.

It's a study that started with the results first, and then they worked backwards.
