San Antonio is going to be a problem in the Western Conference very soon. Jump in the standings probable next season.

There is some clickbait stuff going on the net about Giannis possibly wanting to go to San Antonio. If that happens they are an instant problem in the West next season.

They would probably have to give him up in a Giannis trade but maybe not. They have #2 and #14 picks in this years draft and more draft picks they could throw at the Bucks. It depends what the Bucks want if say he demands a trade to Spurs. Pretty sure they would want him out of the Eastern Conference so him wanting the Spurs would be perfect for them. Spurs are going to have to give up a few young players and plenty of draft capital to get him. I hope they can hold onto Castle if he requests a trade there. Wemby and Fox though will be off limits.

Fox would NOT be off limits if Giannis is involved. Wemby is their only untouchable.

Milwaukee or whoever might not even want Fox (28 years old at $37 mil expiring after 25-26).... But his salary would likely be needed to facilitate any trade.

Better trade assets are Castle, the #2 pick in 2025.... plus future 1st rounders and pick swaps. Spurs are probably better off to just sit tight right now and continue with the build through the draft.

I don’t see San Antonio making a push for him. I don’t see anybody frankly making that big of a push for him right now. The price is way too high.

I would really feel bad for the guy if he got traded for Giannis after wanting the Spurs so bad he got traded midseason from Kings. You are probably right though.

Spurs will either stand pat or go hard after one of Giannis or Durant. Durant would likely cost way less.
