I watched the first episode of FACEOFF: Inside the NHL last night and loved it. Cool to learn about the friendship between Nylander and Pastranak. Watched some of the Bruins and Panthers tonight and now I'm watching the Blackhawks and Utah Hockey Club. I'm starting to like this game.

Great start for the Panthers. Big win for the home opener. Game got a little crazy with penalties. A few crazy bounces as well.

That kid Dylan Guenther for Utah is a SNIPER. 2 goals last night.

Leafs v Canadians should be good tonight. Toronto #1 goalie Justin Woll is already injured. Stolarz in net tonight for Leafs.

A shutout win by the Canadiens over the Leafs to start the season! Great goaltending by Sam Montembeault! I loved the goal by Cole Caufield too.

Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith make their SJ Sharks debut tonight. 1st career game for both rookies.

Some excitement in Norcal for sure. There is at least a glimmer of hope going forward. They are still going to be a bottom 5 team, but at least they are not going to get killed every night like last season. The still need at least one more Blue-Chip Top 5 Lottery guy to help the rebuild going forward.

Yeah, that is how they ended up moving from Vancouver to the SF Bay Area. Rick Celebrini is director of sports medicine and performance for the Golden State Warriors.

Macklin Celebrini only played in our local Norcal Youth Travel AAA league for his U14-year-old season for the Junior Sharks. He tore it up, you could see he was at a different level than his peers. Then he was off to Prep School at Shattuck SM. Then the USHL with the Chicago Steel.

Pretty crazy first goal for Macklin Celebrini. 360 no look backhand off a Dman's skate....lol...

Celebrini also had had a nice pass from behind the net for an assist.

But the young Sharks blew a 3-goal lead...... and lost in OT.

This was the first game the Leafs had been shut out in, in something 2 years.

Couldn’t believe that stat when I read it.
