    Default Proud Dad moment

Last weekend my 8 yr old Son said that he loved the song i was playing and he wanted to hear it again. There was a lot of music going on that day so i had absolutely no idea what he was referring to.

We narrowed it down to an LP not cd so i literally had to remember everything i had listened to. After a very long time of trail and error we found it. I could not believe it was actually a VH song. My lad absolutely loves Women in Love, he is mesmerised by the intro. Obviously i will now be throwing everything VH i can at him lol.

It's great when your kid shows even the mildest interest in something you like...it's exponentially better when it's VH.

My daughter always makes a mention to me when she adds a VH tune to her playlist.

Ed had to switch to a much drier sound (apart from the delay of the intro) to play this song.

Way back when my older daughter (who turned 27 earlier this month) was about 3, she would become obsessed with certain Van Halen songs and make me play them over and over and over again when we were in the car. It started with You Really Got Me. Next up was Ice Cream Man. Then it was Jamie's Cryin'. Next came Somebody Get Me A Doctor. The final one was (Oh)Pretty Woman, which she wanted to hear every day on the way to KinderCare.

She also used to love to "jump like Dave" in the Unchained video from Oakland '81 when she got out of the bathtub.

That's cool; my son also, who is now 14, was exposed to good music since he was 2: in 2012 ADKOT came out and I used to listen to it regularly in the car; so he fell in love with Blood and Fire, that he called "Peepah" because of the part "look at all the people...". Then it was You and your blues.

Then he grew up and now his favourite band are Def Leppard, but he likes many Sammy Hagar songs like WIL, Dreams, CSLY, the more melodic ones.
Of course he does not understand almost anything but he sings along anyway...

Mine keeps on listening over and over the same song until I hate it: it was promises, then dangerous, pour some sugar..., hysteria and now it is run riot: million times, in the car, on the phone, in the shower... I say, Gabry please stop!

The problem is that he really doesn't like the Dave era except Jump. HFT? Blah, Eruption? How can you listen to a guitar alone?? And the list goes on and on.
He makes fun of me: who knows EVH, only you, in Italy nobody knows him, how can you say he is so famous..?
But ok, rock is carved into his soul
