Yeah, I sorta figured it'd go in the Respect the Wind vein. Still, nice to hear Ed riffing one last time.

Very Zeppelinish with a bit of "Take Me Back"... and slightly happier and tougher tonality than "RTWind".

Reminds me of what Heart did with "Mistral Wind"

Begs the question, is it the last time?

It sounds like 90s-ish Van Halen - so before all the stuff Ed recorded for ADKOT.

I wonder if he recorded ANYTHING post 2012 - were the machines at 5150 gathering dust for years until Wolf started his own record? I've said it before, but the thought of Ed having totally lost inspiration is just really weird and depressing. Hopefully we hear more about this in Al's book next month.

I gotta hand it to ya. You beat that "there's gotta be more" drum loudly.

You do realize we'll most likely be dead...us or Al before there is anymore put forth, right?

I gather you won't be joining us on our 5150 break-in tonight?

Your best bet, man, is a release of the 13 additional completed tracks from the ADKOT sessions.

But yeah...this could be the last of it. Unless AVH or WVH gets off their asses before we head on into the sunset.

"Head on into the sunset" sounds like an unreleased track from Def Leppard, High and Dry era. Just sayin.

I'd say the answer to this has to be "yes," Ed recorded past 2012. In the early 2010s when Ed and Janie renovated the house they redid a portion to be Ed's guitar room / office. That's where the pics with George Lopez and the Shark or 5150 are. In that room was a computer running a DAW and amplitube plugin, part of Ed's touring rig, and a rack with some recording equipment. A small piano and Ed's cello were in there too. There's pics of that room being used past the 2015 tour.

    Definitely from the '96-'98 period.

The Eventide H3000 and Fernandes Sustainer are both obvious.

The only thing that sounds a little "off" to me is Ed being the quietest. Not sure if it's my shit speaker on my work computer, but Al and the rhythm acousti/electric sound very up front.

Thought the same thing after a few listens.

I just think it’s the amount of effects on the guitar. I don’t think it’s particularly low. It’s not like a perfect mix.
