I've watched the most college ball today I've ever actually paid attention to. Rn, Arizona, and Texas Tech. Idk why, but I find college ball more exciting to watch than NFL. Just an observation.

Maybe I'm tripping, but I feel like they throw the ball more in college, and I like that. I dont really care for a run game. A few yards here. A few yards there. I get it, though.

I’m a much bigger fan of college football than the NFL. I also went to a football school, so everything was about football.

The "professional" athletes are the most biggest selfish babies. There's no hunger because they've already made it. They're making millions. They're always looking to be traded, etc. I get it. They're chasing the ring.

The play calling in the pros to ME, and I probably dont know what I'm talking about, seems conservative. It's a business in the NFL. Is college any different? Yes, in one respect. College players arent making 50 million dollar contracts

    Ones mileage may vary.

I'm glad you're getting into football. I just prefer watching the best of the best, and that is the talent in the NFL. Brady was always hungry. Mahomes will always be hungry.

    NIL has ruined college sports.

College players aren’t amateurs anymore technically.

College football is better because it’s a playoff every single week, and every single game matters. The stakes are always high in every game.

I just think the NFL game can be pretty boring sometimes. College football never is.

I also think the connection one has to their school to me is far bigger than what one has to a team that plays in their home city or something. This is just completely my opinion only.

I used to carpool with an older coworker, and he was a fanatic for his alma mater. It's one of the Oklahoma schools. Not the Sooners. I think OSU? Every year, he'd go back to Oklahoma to visit his parents and brothers, and they'd all go to a big rival game.

He's also a massive Dodgers fan, too. Anyway, I asked him once about NFL. Said he couldn't give two fucks. College ball fans are loyal af.

We were a football family first. My dad grew up in LA when there was nothing but the Rams as a pro team, so our family had season seats from 1946 until they left in 1994. The Rams were always gigantic to us. And of course we all went to USC so it was about that too. Once the Rams came back from St. Louis, I’m not nearly the fan that I was as a kid. I don’t get that upset when they lose. Actually I don’t get upset when anybody loses anymore. Lol. As I’ve gotten older, I just realize how unimportant in the grand scheme this shit is.

And I’m pretty angry at USC right now for all the shit that’s going on with Palestine and Israel and their behavior towards certain things. I’ve written them several emails complaining as an alumni. But I still have love for USC football. I can’t give it up. I don’t blame the players and coaches for the administration.

I like college over the pros. Offenses in college are more diverse. You have some teams that throw the ball a ton and then teams like Army that run it a lot.

I like both....a couple of things though:

    1. College players making money and the nonsense is starting to brew now; look at the UNLV QB. They need to formalize this NIL/paying the players thing or this is just the tip of the iceberg.
    2. Remember that college you have a huge field of players and from that huge field only a very small percentage make the pros....in the pros you get the best of the best period. It makes the game more precise and difficult in general.
    It's 5150 time!
