The U.S A. had a good day at the Olympics! Especially in track and field!

No idea why, but I have absolutely zero interest in this Olympics. Have watched 0.0 seconds of it, and that includes highlights.

Same DD, it holds no appeal.

I stopped watching over the Last Supper thing, but really, the annoying thing was seeing dumb ass celebrities like Snoop chilling with the families, etc. I can't recall past Olympics that had so many celebrities. Maybe I never paid attention. This is the one time they're patriotic? Also, the interviews showcasing the athletes. Their sob stories. The grind it took to shake off the pain of Tokyo or whatever. The "twisties". The time off from competing to get one's bead straight. The struggles. Meh. This shit is not that important in life.

I couldn’t give two flying fucks about the political side of any of this stuff to be honest with you. I just watch it because I like the Olympics. And I do enjoy being patriotic for it and cheering for the country every four years.

There is no real money in it for most of these athletes. They do it because they love it, And for most of them, it is an honor to compete for their countries. And yeah, a lot of them do work really hard, and I do think their stories are interesting. I’m not that cynical about it.

Of course it’s not that important in the grand scheme of life. But what is? This is something people work hard for. That’s what we live for right? To try to do things that give us a purpose. At least I look for things in life like that.
