it would be interesting to hear what Sam could salvage. Sam knows there are complete leftovers from the studio alums he did with the band, hell release those along with between us two and maybe a couple of rough demos.

I don't think Al would ever do anything like that, he'll probably never set foot in 5150 again

If Alex wanted a new VH album it would be out now. He doesn't so there is not. Sam has no role in that so its just him flapping gums to hear his voice.

If there was enough material, I have no issues with a posthumous VH studio record, even if that means Wolf playing some guitar overdubs (and who better?) and Sam and/or Dave recording new vocal parts.

Ah. Had my shit confused. Was released not long after the pause of NBA that season when Lebron won his bubble title. I just remembered it seemed so coincidental it came out around that time LeBron was entering the greatest discussion.

I am wondering if this is Sam's attempt at exerting pressure on Al. Will it ultimately work? No, but that's what I think he's doing.

What would be cool is if Sam had his band do a sneak preview of some unreleased music.

I didn't go to his Charlotte show, but he's getting rave reviews, locally.

Sam's effort, if part of a larger effort to open up the vaults at 5150, also including Dave and becoming viral - I could see this potentially influencing Al in the long run. If everyone is pulling in the same direction. All the fans want is to hear more music by Ed - with Dave, with Sam, it doesn't matter. Release it all.

I never liked Sammy. Not because I'm some CVH snob. I like Sammy with VH, but I just don't like the guy. I agree that he should just have his little tribute tour with 3/4 Chickenfoot and praise Eddie and all that, but if you want to make fresh new music, just make fresh new music without having to stick the VH logo on it.

If there's anything in the vault, I imagine at some point it may come out. Hopefully we're all still alive and kicking when it does.
