When you say production line inaccuracies do you mean inaccuracies with the recreation (like cosmetic stuff?) or like quality problems with the guitars?

Cosmetics/specs. Basswood body, Wolfgang pickup, Road Worn style relic, etc.

Nothing bad, just not 1:1 to the original.

I pulled the trigger on the ‘78 Eruption guitar, for $649, it seems like a great deal. Should be here Wednesday. I’ll post some pics.

OK - the guitar arrived. I guess I figured out why no one is buying these guitars.

The guitar looks cool, nice relic job, but quality control issues for sure. Fret sprout big time, major. I guess this could have been caused by the way it was stored? Worst fret sprout I have seen. Also, the pickguard is warped. I have never seen that before. You can push the pickguard down about a quarter of an inch (possibly more).

I am exchanging the guitar, hoping the next one will be better. If it’s not better, I’ll return that one too.
