What kind of legitimate producer behaves like that? Certainly not a good one.
The thing that gets me is...he admits he knew the album was no good. What kind of a producer supports their client in putting something out that he knows will be badly-received?

A real producer would have talked Ed into making a great album that he thought fans would enjoy. The album was even supposed to be a double!!...but it took the record company (not the producer) to step in and say, "Cut it down to a single album."

What the fuck kind of "producer" was he? He wasn't even keeping an eye on the engineering. Listen to the drum sound on A YEAR TO THE DAY: it's lifeless (the bass drum sounds like a thin "thud").

AND Post actually allowed WITHOUT YOU to come out the way it did!! Ed's guitar solo in the middle section not only has a lousy tone...but it's actually FUCKING OUT-OF-TUNE!! Who the fuck was piloting the ship? The first song everyone hears from the album...and the producer allowed them to keep a completely out-of-tune guitar solo??

My wife & I are big Frank Lloyd Wright geeks.

We have something like 80 books (including some huge hardcover fuckers)...and a ton of DVDs touring his properties, plus biographies, documentaries, etc.

If you ever want to see something beautiful, check out Wright's Taliesin West home in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was living full-time at his Taliesin property in Spring Green, Wisconsin...but his doctor told him he could lengthen his life by maybe 20 years if he spent every winter in Arizona. So...he built Taliesin West in 1937 in the Arizona Desert.

He ended up living until 1959, dying at the age of 91...the desert air apparently doing him a lot of good.

Some of those places in the desert, they're really, really isolated. I like my quiet, but I also like people. I'd go bananas in some of those super remote locals. Also even though my street is very quiet, it's nothing compared to "desert quiet." Total, absolute silence.

Relax, it's just a movie! It's actually not that bad out here. Just beware of friendly strangers all too eager to help or else you might end up as a sacrifice to some infernal deity or worse, as someone's country dinner!

Most Americans donít even know where or what New Zealand is. If pressed they think itís in Europe.

Remember only 43% of Americans have a passport and 16% have never left their home state.

I donít know anybody who doesnít know where New Zealand is. Of course everyone I know is a college-educated person, or someone who isnít a fucking moron. So I guess maybe a moron wouldnít know. But an educated person knows exactly where it is. I think that is an extremely broad generalization that MOST Americans donít know where New Zealand is. Iíd like to see what study was done on that.

My passport expired years ago. I havenít left the country in a long time because I donít have the money to travel like that anymore. But Iíve been out of the US many times. So donít assume that because someone doesnít have an active passport doesnít mean theyíve never left the country.

I didnít know that everyone in the world were world travelers except Americans. Lol.

I do love the assumption now that the world thinks Americans are completely backwards because of political shit. So stupid.

Iím sure there is a ton of shit about America that the average Kiwi knows nothing about.

I have no idea how this conversation got here, but wow. Lol.

Americans know about New Zealand. Maybe not as much as France or Germany but certainly more than lets say Brunei. There was this movie called Lord of the Rings which kind of put it on the map for the ignorant American. Plus many of us fed the geese to Rachael Hunter. Then you have Tay Tay's friend who had a hit or two. Lorde.

Then the cult show Flight of the Conchords.

I think I covered all of it. Oh and for the Alex Jones type all the billionaires are buying up land there for the eventual alien invasion

Clearly the majority of us feel VH3 is a mess in need of Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery levels of production to fix... But what's the most VH song on VH3?

I think Ballot or the Bullet is pretty decent. Good riffage, cool P90 tone, not overly self indulgent, and Gary doesn't sound like he's straining.

Yeah, this fucking pisses me off too. It's annoying when my Swedish family (half of my relatives live in Sweden) say things like, "Boy, you Americans are all racist and dumb now, huh?"

And I get angry and say, "Did it ever occur to you that not ALL Americans are homophobic or racist?"

Sometimes people think that the loudest, angriest voices speak for everybody.
