I'm happy that the Brewers clinched the division yesterday. 1st team to do so this season. Now, will they try to get a top 2 spot in the NL standings to get a bye, or will they rest players. Hmmm.... I'd go for the bye and then rest people.

That one player is Shohei Ohtani. He did all of it today.

What sucks is he almost had the fucking cycle too. He got thrown out at third trying to stretch one of his doubles. That would’ve been the icing on the cake.

Imagine if he had pitched and won 12 to 15 games this year. They would be saying this is the best season of any baseball player ever right?

No need for him to pitch. It's still one of the best seasons by any player ever.

I've been most surprised by the SB's this season. The power was always there. But the speed was kind of overlooked. He topped out with what 20 one year.

The new Stolen Base rules put into effect in 2023 has been a big factor here. It is unlikely he would be near 50 SB without it.

I still can't stand the limitation of 2 pickoff attempts and the increase in the bases.

Yeah, I thought about the new rules but, still, I didn't think HE would benefit this much from it. It obviously helped him big time, but I would never have guessed that big a jump. (mind the pun)
