I don’t think either team envies the idea of flying across the country to play the Padres the next day. But there is no scenario where either can get out of it by winning.

My prediction, at least in the AL:

Houston gets past Detroit--really rooting for Detroit here.
O's beat Royals--love this matchup.

Houston beats Cleveland--really rooting for Cleveland here.
O's beat NYY--yes, I'm going against my team. I think the Bye hurts them and the O's have owned them this year. (hope I'm wrong)

Houston beats Baltimore--really rooting for Baltimore here.

Basically, I hope I'm wrong with every series. LOL

it was raining earlier, but it never must gotten to much becasue they are still playing without having delayed. Mets just tied it at three in the 8th. I'm sure they'd all really love a rain delay or extra innings.

That was a pretty crazy game at the end.

I know teams don’t play to lose, but there is absolutely nothing to be gained for the Mets by winning the second game. I’m sure they would much rather go play Milwaukee than San Diego.

Orioles won 8 of 13 games against NY this year. So it's not so far-fetched.

Meanwhile, a small victory for traditionalists - going back to normal uniforms for the all star game.
