Amsterdam - Ok!! But ... Humans Being? Really? To me, that's one of the most easiest tune to learn on the drum from the Mighty One, Jedi. Piece of cake.

With Humans Being I think of two things:

1. I remember how that double kick made me feel as a 14 year old hearing it for the first time.
2. The down section of the solo and build back into the final verse. That laid back feel hits so good, and then the control and dynamics of building it up along with Ed's guitar is a great demonstration of Al's finesse.

But I'm also just a guitarist. Though I have sat in on a single drum lesson for my son.

I don't understand the comparisons on some of these. H4T and Seventh Seal are such incredibly different songs that it seems like they shouldn't be listed side by side. Wouldn't it make more sense to do songs that are similar styles and tempo and then go from there? Like Source of Infection vs H4T, or 7th Seal vs Humans Being?

Had the same question. HFT v SS? Might as well have been Eruption v CC Deville solo.

I simply picked 16 of AVH's best drum songs and seeded them 1 to 16. That is how tournaments work so you don't end up with the strongest participants knocking each other out in the early rounds. True story.
