What good does it do to have these pro-shot shows just gathering dust where nobody can enjoy them?

Taking down Alan's 1984 documentary series (until the official VH songs were removed) was even more petty...but taking these down sucked. (Thankfully, fans got them before they were removed.)

I just got back to the casa this morning and was reading shit here at the links. Trying to watch vids etc. You nailed it. What the fuck is their problem? Jesus, let us dumb fucking fans watch some cool shit we, or some of us, haven't seen before? If all this shit, that a ton I have not seen before, gets put out "properly with record labels" etc ok. Then most of us would still buy it. I would purchase every god damn one. But, the powers that be. Are you reading? Have to be fucking tools and pull shit down. Fuck you!

And on a better tone here. I was able to cut some mesquite wood and load up my wood stands for summer cooking. So I figure thats cool. Out.

    Bin-fucking-go. Exactly.

It hurts them not one bit. It's just them being little bitches. ("Oh, those awful fans of ours are watching concerts we did not personally sanction for release!") Jesus Christ, get a life!!

I would also buy every single concert they release. I would happily pay my money.

I'm so hardcore into collecting shows (and have no problem paying for them) that when The Who used to film every gig on their tours (in 2006 & 2007) and release them as DVDs on their website, I ended up eventually (they had a sale) buying FOUR box sets, with each box set having a different leg of the tour (about 25 DVDs per box set). Again, it was a sale...but that's about 100 concerts, pro-shot in surround. I love The Who. I was happy to buy these sets because I actually put these shows on a lot...and it's great to watch different shows over the years from different nights, with different setlists.

It's insane that The Who released literally 100 shows from a few tours in the mid 2000s...but Van Halen has never released a single concert home video since the early 1990s.

I love fall...and I love winter. But now you've got me excited for summer. Mesquite-smoked chicken...brisket...steak with a mesquite smoke flavor... It's early morning. I just had my first coffee...and I want BBQ.

Alex has a long and documented history of thinking everyone is trying to rip him and Ed off.

There is no logic behind it, it is just what he thinks.

Same here but a bit later around 2004. Me an a couple friends were handling Motley Crue's website along with all the members personal sites and socials (Except Tommy) for many many years. I had communicated with Brett a few times.. I haven't been on here much in many years but always thought Brett did a klller job. I was also on his old "Jamtothis" site too..

I can post the link, but I was recently listening to VH 1978 from London, and that is the type of show that I simply do not understand why they don't make a professional package out of it and sell it.

Even if it sells 15,000 copies...so what? It is a living, breathing testament to how fucking awesome those four guys were when they hit the scene.

Is that the stereo soundboard that leaked a couple of years ago or so?

If that's the one you mean, yes...that show is basically like, "Hello...we're the greatest band in the world. Nice to meet you." Amazing.

But...I bet they will never release it. And it will remain a nice secret for hardcores like us.

Correct. I mean, it is almost a perfect live show. I never liked how many solo spots VH has done, especially when they were opening for Sabbath, but, I know it was just the timeframe, audiences expected it.

It might be the best Van Halen gig I've ever heard. Yes, it's just very early stuff...so nothing off WACF or FAIR WARNING or anything. But in terms of quality of performance...and confidence...

Those club years made them a well-oiled machine.

I'm not sure if you've watched both Fresno gigs (new versions of those just popped up on YouTube last week without the watermark) but they're also SO good.

If memory serves, there is a Paris show from the 1978 tour in which they were not opening for Sabbath, they played a longer show. I need to check and see if that is still out there and check it out.

    Not a soundboard...but a superior live performance.
