And I wouldn’t mind something from 2004 if it was one of the best shows (Los Angeles night 1 where Ed brought back Hot for Teacher?) *avoids boos and tomato throws*
There HAVE been a couple of leaked BALANCE shows (but I have no idea if this guy was behind them). One of them was filmed by MTV, so that's not really a screen-feed leak. But there's another show from near the end of the tour that's clearly a screen-feed leak.

I would NOT be surprised if there are more VH shows from this guy's archive we get to see. It would be great to get a 2007-2008 show. The backing vocals were FAR better on that tour (because they were actually using a backing track for the higher parts...Von at the Army was invited to the soundcheck for one of those shows and even heard the backing track for the backing vocals). By 2012, Eddie & Wolfgang were doing the backing vocals alone...and it sounded a lot shittier without Mike.

And Dave was definitely singing stronger during the 2007-2008 period.

Eddie, however, was much stronger in 2012 than he was during the first reunion tour.

This release method here is not legal at all under normal circumstances... may get pulled at any time... watch it now.

BUT... maybe Alex does know about this and allowed it to be released... who knows... or they released the future rights as a contract term back in 2013?

(I also know the Promoter for this show, Richard Cartwright, has a bit of a checkered past)
I highly doubt Alex ALLOWED this. This guy has leaked so many shows from different bands whose video he directed.

Yes, I would not be surprised if this gets pulled.

But I've already downloaded the 1080p file...and I'm sure other fans have too. It's out there now. If they pull it down, it won't go away. (I myself have already backed it up to two different hard drives...and I'm making myself a Blu-Ray.)

The MSG 2008 DVD was professionally shot and per reports completed and ready to be released, that one would make sense to release, as the reason they didn't is Ed didn't like his playing on it.

Eddie Interview from 2009 (DISCUSSING FILMED/RECORDED SHOWS from 2007-2008): We did film and record seven shows, but we kind of thought, why give people what they just saw? We have it. Maybe later. We just didn't feel like the timing was right. Why give them what they just saw? Sometime in the future, I'm sure it will surface. Maybe, if and when we decide to put everything we have out. Including things like me playing guitar at the 6th-grade talent show. There's all kinds of cool and funny shit we could put out. Who knows, really, when there are so many things to do first. Like put out some new tunes.

No offense, but Ed was notoriously full of shit in his interviews, he had a different kind of truth when talking with people outside the band.

They'll release everything the day after their last fan dies.

He didn't pull either the recent Donnington or the Boxset remixed LEAKS. Just thinking that if he did indeed give up on those 2, maybe he's going to give up here, and allow them to exist on YouTube.

The AUDIO on the recent 1984 DOC was different because that was a PRO looking release that larger bands and especially their publishing admins never allow sync licensing to be released for freely.

Hopefully this stays up. Nice footage of AVH's solo.

The six songs I watched, everyone was good (yes, I far prefer Mike to Wolfgang, but it's Van Fucking Halen...and I'm just glad we have it).

Not quite. This was common in their pro-shot feeds during the show. No, we haven't had a pro-shot leak yet of this era (ANY Dave reunion era)...but if you watch other fan-shot videos, the band frequently had the screen footage in black & white for part of the show. I can't quite recall if the first full half hour was black & white on the screen in the many fan shows out there, but, yes, that's what is on the film master.
I love Dave and if someone is “Pissed off” by what I said, that’s on them. But his performance here and several other shows would have been stellar if he’d stayed in a range he could handle. Like DTNA, the original wasn’t in a high pitch but here he tries it. His prerogative of course but it’s not something he’s capable of. He’s just not.

    All just my .02

Makes sense on the black and white vs color.

"No offense"? What the fuck does that even mean?

I didn't say it. He did. Part of me posting it was the irony of him talking about all the things he's saying are going to come out...and here we are 15 years later...

Exactly. Or even the people who were there. They might want to relive it.

If people do not care about watching shows that they were (or weren't) at, why the hell has there been a time-honored tradition of releasing filmed concerts for years and years?
