Nature's intent is neither food, nor drink, nor clothing, nor comfort, nor anything else in which God is left out.

Whether you like it or not, whether you know it or not, secretly nature seeks, hunts, tries to ferret out the track on which God may be found. . .

I thought it was just Iron Maiden.

    Lol

I went back and tried to remember crying... Well 3 months ago when I had to leave someone I cared about and a situation that had gotten out of control with their alcoholism. (She is 3 months sober now!)

It was just a few brief seconds because I fucking hate hurting people, even when they hurt me.

I've lost so many dogs over the years, and I'm just sort of in a space where i truly understand everyone/everything dies eventually. I just spend as much time with them and give them the best lives possible and do everything I can and then let them go to the rainbow bridge with some dignity... I realize I've got my Black Lab dude (Kenji) now, and when he is gone, maybe 1 more after and then it's my turn. Such is life/death.

When I 1st heard EVH died, through a text - I did cry a little. Not because I knew him because I didn't. But I don't think there has been a day in my life since I was maybe 10 years old that I didn't listen to VH and or talk to someone about EVH. So, it was like part of my life had died. But we are all in that same boat, so I don't even really feel like he's gone anymore because we still all talk about VH here every day....

I know for a fact I'll bawl when one of my dogs goes, especially one in particular.

Cried when my dad died, when my dog died, and when CaboChris went straight. That's it.

Anyway I just sat in the car and waited, and I turned on some channel that was playing only Van Halen and I think listening to the music and thinking about the fact that he was gone really got to me. A lot of it was just probably the finality of it, and the fact that you know I’d run this place for so long, and it was just kind of a wave of emotions. You think about yourself being younger. All those kinds of things. I definitely got the sniffles a little bit and teared up.

But I will say that is the only celebrity death that I’ve ever felt that way about. Everyone knows I’m a huge Kobe Bryant fan, and his death was tragic and so sad, but I didn’t feel the same way about it as I did when Ed passed. There’s just a different connection.

It still makes me sad that he’s gone. Even with all the bullshit things that he did that I didn’t like, I miss him making music or at least being able to play music. The music world is a lesser place without Eddie Van Halen in it.

Damn it, now it logged me in as my wife. What the hell is going on? This fucking phone, I hate it! I only got a new iphone because the battery in my old one died and it was stupid to replace it.

I don't even know how that name is attached to my Tapatalk account.

I hate replacing my phone. I’ll use them until they’re fucking dead. This one only lasted a couple years. I’m furious. The last iPhone X I had before lasted almost five years. It was a great phone and then one day the battery would stay charged for literally two minutes.

I remember the day Kobe died. I was at work and this co-worker said, "Did you hear...Kobe died". I was shocked. Not because I'm a basketball fan but because he transcended sports.

He died on Ed’s birthday, which is even stranger. And of course, it wasn’t too far from my house and it was tragic and all the other people who died, young children. So senseless.

I first heard from one of my friends who texted me and told me. And I said that’s not funny, don’t joke about that. I couldn’t believe he was serious. He said turn the news on, it’s right near you.

So that stupid emoji thing that just started happening is some kind of a bug with Tapatalk Pro for me. When I use the free Tapatalk app, like I just did, it works fine.

We didn’t have anything down here.

I had no idea they even had one up north. My daughter just told me. That’s how much I pay attention to anything going on. Lol.
