I missed 1984 due to riding around on Puerto Rico on a bicycle in a white shirt and tie. I intentionally missed 1998 and 2004 and I have never regretted it for a single second.
You didnít put down the 2007 tour did you go to that one?

Cuda, I actually had fun when I saw VH with Gary Cherone. Of course it wasn't the same as before but they still rocked and Gary gave it his best under the circumstances. It was a hell of a lot better than 2004 that's for damn sure!

VH3 show I caught was fine, but, it just wasn't right. Can't explain it.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

It’s a shame Gary didn’t really fit because the III tour was the last time Ed, Al, and Mikey were at the top of their live games at the same time. If only the Roth reunion hadn’t fallen through in 96, I bet the 98 tour with DLR would’ve kicked ass

Curious, what kind of attendance did III draw? My faint memory is it was good until the back end. Anyone know what they were averaging?

I felt the same way. The setlist was great and the band was on fire, but it almost seemed like an amazing Van Halen cover band.

I'll say it again, the addition of Mike and a consistently healthy Edward would have made the 2007 tour one of their greatest ever.

For me, it really was weird seeing Gary on stage belting out the VH classics but I'll always give him credit for trying to do it right. I'm still glad that Edward and Alex gave him a shot even if it didn't work out. Sammy was marching to Mars at the time but what was the Diamond One doing?

    Releasing his best solo record?

Then opening for Bad Company, then played some festivals in Europe if memory serves.

Never saw the VH1 tour... discovered the band just after they played Toronto on the 3rd show early on in that first tour. I think they opened for Montrose ironically at Massey Hall.

The first CVH tours with a young band in their 20's literally blow away everything else. It's not even close. The WACF Tour being the peak of their crazy out of control youth, but with a killer visual presentation. The Bee Gees PA I believe did start on WACF Invasion.
