I think the thing about girls that play halen, or just shred, is just that we didn't have that growing up. I literally never met one back then. I never even heard of one. There was no "hey, there's this girl in the next town, she can shred like a mofo!" Zero. Nothing. If I'd met one back then, my jaw would've hit the floor, no question. It was out of the realm of possibilities. It's fairly common now on youtube. Different times.

I was just thinking of Lita Ford. That Nita Strauss and some other new guitarist with hefty sweater cows. Jennifer Batten. That blues guitarist Samantha Fish. I don't know all of them lack something with tone

Orianthi was the first woman that impressed me on guitar. Later Nita Strauss, both played with Alice Cooper. Before that, no one really That makes them both extra special.

Jennifer Batten was the first for me, in the late 80s. But she was someone you would see on TV. You wouldn't meet anyone like that "in real life."

I've posted vids from this band before.... Donna Nye was really solid for a cover band guitarist....

    5:45 -
She hits the Jump guitar solo, and then Synth solo too...

Rock, Blues, Jazz, etc Most of them have a very trebly tone that is hard on the ears. Just missing something and wondering if body structure could be at play. I know everybody agrees that a lot of tone is in the fingers. Maybe bone density and even length of bones has something to do with it.

I know there are likely exceptions but I just have not come across any
Check out Samantha Fish out of Kansas City... she's a total bad ass tone wise

If these girls didnít dress half naked, shake their ass, nobody would care about their playing. Their playing isnít any more amazing than tons of guys who are out there. I get it that itís rare to see women taking an interest in playing guitar like that, but itís far more common now than itís ever been. Itís just not that big of a fucking deal anymore. Theyíre all over social media.

Next step is a female guitar star - like super ugly. Overweight like Wolf, bad hair, dresses crazy, etc. But shreds like a mofo, 8 figger tapping, sweeping, all possible scales at breakneck speed. Would she be accepted?

Not in a million fucking years.

And all these chicks know that itís a bunch of fucking horny guys getting off on checking them out, so they make sure and dress super slutty and it really doesnít matter how well they play.

Thereís some girl I always see on Facebook who I think sheís Spanish or something and she is so stiff and such a barely average player, but of course she dresses half naked, has 6 bazillion followers, and all the comments are a bunch of losers, ďOh youíre so amazingĒ and blah blah blah. Give me a fucking break. If she was a dude playing like that, you would laugh. Sheís not going to date you dude, no matter how many nice things you say on social media. Lol.
