The guy who Satriani was referencing in the article has VH lessons. Iím assuming Joe watched them which is why I said they benefit everyone including him.

I donít think they should be playing instead of Joeónever said that. I think I said that before as well.

There are little girls on YT that can play VH better than me. Nothing wrong with that. More power to them!

Too bad RS didn't ask Joe what he thought of being beat out by Kurt Cobain and PJ Harvey in Rolling Stones top 250 guitarist poll. Just read that list again and can't believe their picks

my favorite non VH instrumental is Joe's "Friends", I love that song. The first Chickenfoot disk is awesome. Joe kicks ass on that. the solo during the end of Soap On A Rope is awesome all by itself. tons of great stuff on it, Future In The Past is an AWESOME song, Joe's solo at the end of that track is incredible.

It's a girl Brett, you are supposed to be gobsmacked by her unbelievable chops.

    Question. Being serious here.

Is it me or does it seem that 99% of any "decent" female guitarist has at best average tone? I have watched a lot of videos by women who supposedly are very od guitarists in multiple genres. Rock, Blues, Jazz, etc Most of them have a very trebly tone that is hard on the ears. Just missing something and wondering if body structure could be at play. I know everybody agrees that a lot of tone is in the fingers. Maybe bone density and even length of bones has something to do with it.

I know there are likely exceptions but I just have not come across any
