Yeah considering he’s playing 2 songs from 1984. Wtf

Technically, they dont need to do Satch Boogie either in that case. You have 3 bass drums with the face of Bonzo staring at you. At least do Rock n Roll. I gotta imagine there's youngsters, and maybe even oldsters who are like, who is that? Could also have been Jason's choice not to have any Zep.

If I was Sammy I would play One way to rock, Heavy Metal , 55.

The rest is VH. Let’s get real this is his last chance to play VH like this.

He can go back to the butcher next year and play his old shows again.

They don’t need Panama and Jump to fill the seats either .

I know Brett said once that the inclusion of CVH was most likely about it being a true Best of All Worlds and being tight with Mike for decades. It really should have been all Sam era VH in hindsight imo.

It’s just a solo spot for Satch and to give Sam a break for a few minutes. Obviously it is something that is Satch’s, that he can wail on as himself comfortably.

Would love to hear them play ‘Remember the Heroes’.
Of course on the VH side, Cabo Wabo or Black and Blue.

Satch Boogie was one of the highlights for me--in fact I had to wait a couple songs for my pee break so I didn't miss it (missed 7th Seal instead).

When I first saw the set list I was disappointed that Mas Tequila was in there. During the show, however, I was swept up in it with the crowd. I would prefer he substituted something else in place of it, but I didn't mind it as much as I thought I would.

What really didn't work for me (and many others at the show I saw) was the encore. SS#5, while a tune I don't mind, really brought the show to a halt. They really should dump that song. But for the encore (btw, it was incredibly a brief amount of time between the last song and the first song of the encore), if he really wants to begin the encore with a solo tune, it should be something much more recognizable, maybe 55 should go there. And the CF song should be dropped too. I understand Jump being in there--that got the crowd back.

Agree with others that Rock Candy should've been in the set list as a representative of Montrose, if there needed to be one. Not SS#5.

Saw some clips of Loverboy. Ouch. What a terrible waste of an opening spot. I'm glad they're making some money, though.

Loverboy is the all-time favorite band of a girl who grew up across the street from me from something like 1974 to 1989. Have you ever heard this one?

They weren't that bad, at least when I saw them. I didn't mind them as an opener. I knew all of their 8 or so songs so that helped. lol

Reno doesn't look that great, but still sounded good enough.

Wow. I friggin' love Space Station #5. That tune is very Zeppelinesque, especially that opening Whole Lotta Love inspired riff.

Haha...I remember that one. When I was a kid I knew their first 3 albums pretty well. My friend down the street was a big fan of theirs back then so I heard it all. They had a bunch of catchy tunes for a while there.

Just stopping here to say my brother, nephew, daughter, and I went to the Michigan show last night and it was great. Band sounded great, Sammy and Mike singing was great, setlist was great....all around had a blast.

While I agree Mas Tequila should be dropped it is hard to argue with the results as the crowd goes nuts and really gets into it.

I have seen Sammy several times the past five years....maybe 5 - 6 times and this was the best show.
    It's 5150 time!
