We should all celebrate and party the night of the election. No matter the outcome, the people will have spoken! As I said before: if Trump wins, it's only four years. Same for Kamala. The end of the world will come eventually, whether Trump, Kamala or someone else is in charge.

I survived every president since Eisenhower. And tons of idiots in congress. A plethora of terrible governors, borough councils, school boards, state representatives, and school superintendents.
I'm pretty sure we are at a new low and getting lower competency in government no matter who wins as the taxpayers and what's left of the post WW2 middle class continue to disintegrate.
If you're above middle class you're losing too even if you're set for life. The US dollar is losing value and the money you're leaving to heirs minus taxes buys lots less than it did just 4-5 years ago.
But it's still my home and I'll make the best of it.
    Plan accordingly and pray.

If Harris wins, I'm throwing my hands up as it relates to the country because standards can't get lower from their end. She is literally a DEI hire. I know people will say that Trump isn't the most well liked. Yeah, but he on track to be the best performing Republican since Herbert in 1988. Other than Dubbya in 2004 due to America having a favorable opinion of the invasions and America not wanting to change Presidents in Middle of a war.

I'm not throwing out the possibility that Trump wins the popular vote and loses. The reality is that the blue wall has only cracked 1 time since 1988. The margins will be so thin that it's very possible it can happen I think. The odds sound better for Trump when you say "Trump only needs one state!", but the blue wall has only broke in the Republicans favor once.

Yeah, it happened, but it happened due to Hillary's unfavorable.

Everyone on here knows my disdain for Donald, but the possibility of having a person elected POTUS who didn't even have a pulse during the 2020 primaries, was a DEI hire as VP, then hidden in the basement for three years to make sure she didn't fuck things up even more, then trotted out and presented as the Great Black Hope is to say...disappointing.

It is embarrassing to me that Republicans voted for Trump during the primaries, and it is embarrassing to me that Democrats just ok'd a silent coup.

    We get what we deserve.

    Yeah, me too.

I don't want her to win, but I fully recognize it is better for my business if she does. I am in the war business, and under Obama/Biden, business is booming.

NBC files Equal Time notice for Harris' SNL cameo following backlash

The Equal Time rule requires NBC to provide political candidates competing against each other equal airtime

NBC News filed an Equal Time notice with the Federal Communications Commission late Sunday, disclosing Kamala Harris' appearance on "Saturday Night Live" after the network was accused of violating the longstanding rule.

"Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate for president in the 2024 national election, appeared without charge on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" (SNL) for a total period of 1 minute and 30 seconds on November 2, 2024," the notice reads.

Under normal circumstances, the filing would allow all other qualified candidates competing against Harris to seek equal airtime from NBC for up to a week. NBC would be required to grant it under federal law.

The notice comes after commissioner Brendan Carr, the senior Republican on the FCC, lambasted NBC's decision to host Harris in the final episode of SNL ahead of Election Day, while not offering equal time to former President Trump or other candidates in the presidential cycle.

"This has all the appearances of, at least some leadership at NBC, at SNL, making clear that they wanted to weigh-in in favor of one candidate before the election. That's exactly why, for decades, we've had an equal time rule on the book, is to prevent that. Because remember, broadcasters are placed in a special position of trust. They're not just like any other person with a soapbox on the corner. They have a license from the federal government that obligates them to operate in the public interest," FCC commissioner Carr told Fox News Digital in a Zoom interview Sunday morning.

The NBC filing later Sunday confirms that the network "views the Harris SNL appearance as a free use of their facilities and airwaves within the meaning of the federal Equal Time rule," Carr told Fox News Digital later Sunday, highlighting the limited timeframe Trump and others have in this case to take the network up on its offer.

In normal Equal Time cases, "it would usually open up a seven-day period when all other qualified candidates can seek Equal Time from NBC-meaning comparable time on a comparable program. Here, opposing candidates don’t have seven days," Carr said.

The FCC commissioner weighed in on X this weekend that the broadcasting company had violated the FCC's equal time rule by hosting the Democratic presidential nominee, but not Trump or other presidential candidates such as Jill Stein or even Robert F. Kennedy Jr. – who is still on election ballots after dropping out of the race earlier this year and endorsing Trump.

The Federal Communications Commission’s equal-time rule was established in 1934 and requires radio and television broadcast stations to provide the same amount of time for competing political candidates. There are exceptions to the rule such as newscasts, documentaries and political debates.

Trump campaign senior adviser Jason Miller told the Fox News Channel earlier this weekend that SNL did not extend an invitation to Trump. Campaign spokesman Steven Cheung lambasted Harris' appearance as a sign of desperation to appeal to voters as "her campaign spirals down the drain into obscurity."

Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, Hillary Clinton's running mate during her failed 2016 presidential run, also appeared in a skit on Saturday as a contestant on a game show who couldn't remember who Kaine was.

NBC also filed an Equal Time notice for Kaine's appearance, Carr told Fox News Digital. Kaine is running for re-election in Virginia against Republican challenger Hung Cao.

NBC News did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Fox News' Emma Colton contributed to this report.

Couldn't believe it last night seeing Obama talk and misstate (where is that misinformation) again about Charlottesville. The biggest antisemite we have had in office in my lifetime (wanted to give Iran nukes) is lecturing about how GOP are the antisemites.

Anyway just preparing myself for Harris. I really think its a toss up and me being a Cleveland sports fan, I am very used to being disappointed. Not that I love Trump. Just that compared to Harris, he at least is IMO better. Amy K, Pete, Biden, Dr Jill, shit even Newsome likely are far better options than Harris. What DD said. She is simply incompetent and didn't do anything to deserve this. Trump at least won in 2016 on his own vs very big odds. Came back from the dead after 2020 and getting his people stomped on in 2022.

Harris has been just given everything and is a DEI hire. The only saving grace is that I strongly feel that whomever is running country today, will be running the country with her. Biden certainly isn't running nor has in at least a few years. Somebody or something is. That will continue to be the case.

Life will go on but I do believe water is coming over the dyke and after this one, we will be flooded and a disaster is going to hit. I know everybody says "most important" election but I truly feel this is the tipping point. Everything has a tipping point. Just because its been said 10 times, doesn't mean the 11th is not true.

I can read the tea leaves. This country is in trouble. I hope I am wrong and I am sure people will tell me I am.

Thats one of the biggest reasons they REALLY don't want Trump re-elected..

If Harris wins, it signals to the dems that they can plug in almost anyone and have a great shot of winning. 2016 largely was luck. The dems in 2028 would have held presidency for 16 out of 20 years. And they would be getting away with pushing out Biden, while he outwardly trashes 80-85 million people.

It isn't looking good in the big picture. Even if Trump wins.

I really think a Harris win breaks it for me though. I've tuned out sports, most music and these shilling celebs makes me want to stop watching their shit also. Sports and entertainment disgust me at this point. It's all a big distraction anyway.

Honestly. I'm not giving a fuck who runs in 2028 with the way things are going. It's dicey even if orange wins.
