Hopefully, it's just a correction and not the start of a major downward trend. The jobs report wasn't good but if the markets don't get more bad news before the Sept Fed meet where they'll cut interest 1/4th a percent which should help. But if the Israel vs Iran issue drastically escalates in the next few weeks, you can bet the market will plummet and gas prices will go through the roof.

1/4 point is already priced in. Can't imagine it helps one iota

Yeah, she became the nominee, and then the market took 2 weeks to think about it, and then the market went down. Yeah, that's how security valuation works in idiotville.

For those wondering what actually happened. A very bad jobs report came out Friday, and the assumed recession that never arrived is now looking more likely. Also, something I mentioned a couple weeks back. Nvidia was driving a large chunk of the market gain and if it tanks, it'll take the market with it. Well, it's down 10% over the past 5 days.

I guess with debates, I just don't think they are as important than they used to be. Are there really that many people out there that think "hmmm Trump or Kamala?"

They may not be important but are still necessary. A lot of you look at debates all wrong. The Links have to be some of the most jaded people I've ever encountered. Maybe it's a middle-aged thing.

I wanna see how a candidate is gonna handle pressure. Who's gonna choke on national TV. It's a glimpse of how they will be in Oval Office. Are they cool, calm, and collected when attacked? Are they triggered by certain questions? It's theater. It's comedy. It's soundbite, heaven. Must-see TV. Crowd egging it on. It's The Colosseum Rome. Gladiators.

I love debates. You want substance? Investigate on your own and leave the debates alone.

I don't really care about who has any influence. AlI know is that shit is more expensive. I don't care if it's holdover from this or that. We're paying more, unfortunately. Republican or Dem president gets the blame among the average Joe. Of course, not from enlightened Linkers. If im still paying more under Trump, then he's gonna get my wrath. This is one of those oft repeated bullshit lines. The more one repeats it, the more it becomes fact.

Cut fucking taxes then. I know you hate that Mike and wish there was more austerity, but the president can cut taxes. I really don't give a fuck where we make up for lost revenue.
