Very interesting I still hope that unreleased VH3 stuff sees the light of day. Based on Gary's reactions sounds like there are few finished studio tracks. Of course they always say demos but it's easy to say that.

I want to hear these tracks. Gary even recorded a Van Halen song just a few years ago and played it for Ed, he had a CD of Van Halen music in his closet that he found. He wrote new lyrics and sang to it and played to Ed, he said Ed liked it

When I joined this site in 1999, we were all anticipating the 2nd Van Halen album with Cherone. It's sad it is just sitting on a shelf gathering dust.

He said it in an interview before. I was not able to watch the whole interview had to get to work.

Watched the whole interview so Al has not reached out to Gary than maybe Gary should try to get in touch than. I also liked how he said VH3 could benefit from a remaster which I think is true. For that unreleased followup album and what finished tracks there are a remastered VH3 and a bonus side of the finished tracks with Gary and the demos is the best way to release them. Though I don't see Warner having any interest in a remastered only VH3 album if they included those unreleased tracks and demos they might be than.

I think a remastered VHIII if it has the unreleased 2nd album with it, would do better sales than any of the remasters that are supposedly in the pipeline. Hell, the best song that we have heard from the VHIII sessions, That's Why I Love You, they left on the cutting room floor. The unreleased stuff from the Cherone era might be the deepest vein to mine for unheard gems.

A proper remix and remaster of the album would be great. And great idea with the unreleased second lp too. It would sell a lot I think. I wonder what Don Landee could do with all of it?
