I like Elton John, but he's got to stop aligning himself with all these mediocre talents like Eminem, Spice Girls etc. Then again, Elton's voice hasn't been great in a long time in my opinion, nor has his material, so he's probably got to do everything possible to stay in the public eye.

I had to look twice to make sure I read "Elton John to do a duet with Eminem" correct.

Just doesn't seem like anything a sane person could come up with...

Eminem is a joke and EJ has sucked since Too Low For Zero, IMO...exceptions include 'Sacrifice' and 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight'

I'm starting to think Elton's a masochist. First he teams up with Axl Rose (at the Freddy Mercury tribute) on the heels of the homophobia controversy over the lyrics to the GnR song "One in a Million".

Now he wants to collaborate with a guy whose use of hate in a song makes Axl look like a hippy by comparison.

Not to mention Elton has talent and Eminem is nothing but a third generation Vanilla Ice ripoff.

I fail to see where they could have anything in common, except what Eminem hides behind a closet door is the same thing that Elton claims openly.

Maybe that's EJ's secret plan.... to drag Eminem kicking and screaming out of the closet?

Well I guess I'm the only eminem fan at vhlinks but I do know this, it's gonna suck because I'm sure eminem will have to tone it down with his lyrics n' shit. Id rather hear him let lose, well that's if they let him out of jail to do this event.

The thing that disappoints me the most is Elton John's comment about it. He said (not a direct quote, since I don't remember the exact wording) that he really enjoys Eminem's music and is excited to do the duet because of that.
